That's three! One more!
Don't worry too much about concepts yet. I'm going to have all of you roll up your characters together, so that sort of thing can be discussed then.

So I'm trying to find us a fourth. I would prefer if I could find someone who can post at least once a day, if not more, because I'm hoping we can burn through this module relatively quick (like, less than a year, preferably). I've reached out to a guy I know who wanted to learn 5E, but I'm like 80% sure he's going to say no (he's already running three games as it is, and is involved with quite a few more as a player as well). He hasn't gotten back to me just yet, though. Another possibility is Snacs. I know he expressed interest in the Tronca project, but I don't know if he'd still be interested in this or have the time for it. He hasn't logged in for a couple of weeks, so maybe Ezeze wouldn't mind asking him? Should those two possibilities not pan out, I think I'll probably just make an NPC for the fourth slot. Might be good practice anyway, to get a feel for how to make NPCs.

I think he meant in real life.

I think he meant in real life. So did I.

Okay, as I predicted, the fellow I reached out to said he can't do it.
So if Snacs is in, he's our fourth. If not, I'll just NPC the fourth.

Like I said before, I'll give it a go if you forgive me my occasional lapses in posting.

As I said, I want this game to go as quickly as possible. So instead of the standard Three Day Rule, it will be more of a One Day Rule. I'm going to post everyday, or maybe more (I'll use the same rule as Gontoria; if everyone posts on the same day, I'll post a second time).
If you think you can keep up with that pace, then you can join, sure.

I will almost definitely be able to post daily, unless I lose computer privileges.

Okay, Character Creation thread is up.
I've added Horizon, Gravity, NotARobot and Nuke to the group.
The offer to join for Snacs is still on the table, if he ever swings by again.

I am re-opening recruitment for Lost Mine of Phandelver. It's a newbie game, and my first time running a 5E game, so keep that in mind. If nobody here is interested, I'll look off-site. We're about half-way through the module. Currently, the party consists of:
Male Halfling Bard (NG) Female Tiefling Rogue (NG) Male Human Monk (LN) Female Human Paladin (LG) [NPC]
1. What game system are you running (D&D, Call of Cthulu, Palladium, GURPS, etc.), and if applicable what edition (Original, Classic, Revised, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 5th, 10th, etc.)? Dungeons and Dragons, 5th Edition.
2. What 'type' or variant of game will it be (i.e. "Shadow Chasers" or "Agents of Psi" for d20 Modern)? What is the setting for the game (e.g. historic period, published or homebrewed campaign setting, alternate reality, modern world, etc.)? Forgotten Realms, in the year 1481 DR. The game is focused on the Sword Coast, specifically in the area that's near Neverwinter.
3. How many Players are you looking for? Will you be taking alternates, and if so, how many? I'm looking for 1-2 players.
4. How fast or slow of a pacing do you want to set? Some games require that players post once a day, every three days, or once a week. I post once a day, assuming I have something to respond to. I prefer to keep the pacing at once a day, but I'd say once every three days is the bare minimum of participation I'd expect from players in general (barring things like vacations and such).
5. What is the characters' starting status (i.e. experience level)? New PCs will begin at 1st level.
6. How much gold or other starting funds will the characters begin with? Standard from the PHB, based on class and background.
7. Are there any particular character classes, professions, orders, etc. that you want... or do not want? What are your rules on 'prestige' and/or homebrewed classes? Nope, play whatever you want, but only as long as it's core only. I only have access to the PHB and DMG, so we're sticking with that for now.
8. What races, subraces, species, etc. are allowed for your game? Will you allow homebrewed races or species? 'Prestige' races or species? Let's stick with the core races for now.
9. By what method should Players generate their attributes/ability scores and Hit Points? You can either use 4d6 drop the lowest, choose a pre-selected build (15, 14, 13, 12, 10, and 8) or use the point buy system. Whichever you prefer.
10. Does your game use alignment? What are your restrictions, if so? Yes. So far the party is mostly Good, so keep that in mind.
11. Do you allow multi-classing, or have any particular rules in regards to it? Yes, I allow it.
12. Will you be doing all of the die rolling during the course of the game? Will die rolls be altered, or left to the honor system? If players can make die rolls, which ones do they make, how should they make the rolls, and how should they report them? The players may make their own rolls using my forum's dice rolling app. However, I may make some rolls for the players in order to keep things moving.
13. Are there any homebrewed or optional/variant rules that your Players should know about? If so, list and explain them, or provide relevant links to learn about these new rules. Nope, no house rules at all. Can't learn the game proper if we change things around. I'll probably houserule things for future 5E games, but for now, core only.
14. Is a character background required? If so, how big? Are you looking for anything in particular (i.e. the backgrounds all ending up with the characters in the same city)? Yes, although since it's just a module, it doesn't need to be terribly detailed.
15. Does your game involve a lot of hack & slash, puzzle solving, roleplaying, or a combination of the above? Kind of a mix of all.
16. Are your Players restricted to particular rulebooks and supplements, or will you be allowing access to non-standard material? What sources can Players use for their characters? Yes, core only. Nothing outside the PHB and DMG, as I don't have any other books aside from them. Plus, I want to keep things simple for now.
