Katya applauds politely for Liala. Between her and Ladonna, a waitress must pick up lots of interesting tidbits of information.
She glances around the festival for the next competition to start.

"Good job, Liala," Ladonna says before she steps down. She seems a little disappointed, but she had some fun. She scans the crowd for Norman, the council member.

"Thanks!" Liala says. "Who knew all that bar trivia would ever come in handy?"
As the crowd disperses and everyone looks for something else to do, a small commotion breaks out over near the statue in the center of the square. "You keep your damned hands off her, bastard!" Damon shouts. He has Tavos in a painful looking headlock while Kara stands nearby, red-faced, her arms crossed over her chest.
"I-It was an accident, I swear!" Tavos pleads. "I just lost my footing and kind of bumped into her, I didn't mean to!"
"Don't lie to me, you're always sniffing around her, I'm not blind!" Damon says, tightening his hold on the half-elf. |

Ladonna's eyes widen a bit upon seeing the commotion. ~Damon is probably going to kill him at his rate if someone doesn't do something,~ she thinks to herself as she approaches the group. "Kara," she says, deciding to address the one that was actually offended in the situation. "What happened?"

"He, uh...touched my...breast," Kara says, clearly uncomfortable. "Didn't mean to...swear won't happen again..," Tavos says, turning a bit blue. "That's what you said last time, and the time before that," Damon argues, tightening the hold he has on Tavos. "You don't touch her, you don't talk to her, you don't even be in the same room as her, get it?" "Gurk..." Tavos replies, helplessly flailing.
A couple of the watch, Marcus and Lenk, stand nearby and watch, more in amusement of the spectacle than any concern and don't seem interested in putting a stop to it.

"Gods save us from the men of Buho" Katya finds herself repeating under her breath.
Why was it that nearly every man in Buho was just plain awful? If they weren't greedy they were racist, or sadistic, or handsy.
She had nothing but sympathy for Kara after being subject to similar at Ryan's hands during the dance at the Seldon festival, but she was being defended and then some by her betrothed so she didn't need Katya's help.
It didn't appear as if Damon was going to actually hurt the half elf, and no doubt the watch would interfere if he did if only to make sure Buho's favorite son didn't get blood on his hands.
With no one to save and nothing to fix Katya let the situation well alone. She goes in search of Finbul instead, who by now must have moved on from failing to educate woodsmen on the dangers of deforestation.

"...And Tavos is saying it was an accident, so how did it come to be that he ended up touching you?" Ladonna asks. "And do you believe it was an accident? I mean, it is clear that Damon doesn't think so, but you are the actual victim so we should hear what happened from you."

Theronymous makes a sour face when he is disqualified from the trivia contest, but otherwise refrains from behaving like a sore loser. He quickly loses interest in the remainder of the contest, and pays no mind at all to the sudden spectacle going on among Tavos, Damon, and Kara. Instead, his competitive temperament apparently unsated, he ventures over to the area that the festival organizers have prepared for the wrestling contest and begins sizing up the others lingering in the area.

Ladonna, Ryan and Lillian (Village Square)
Damon snorts. "Accident? He knows he's not supposed to be close enough to her to even have an accident. Not that anyone would believe that, like I said, he's been sniffing around her for years." He releases Tavos, and gives him a kick, sending him sprawling face first into the dirt. Tavos coughs and chokes while lying on the ground, trying to get his breath back.
"You're lucky I have to get ready for the wrestling contest," Damon tells him. "So consider this your last warning. Come near her again, and I'll get serious." He then takes Kara by the hand and leads her away.
Theronymous P. Wiggledigit (Village Square) Theron walks over to the small wrestling ring that has been set up for the contest. Bula is present and is doing stretches and breathing exercises while her family watches.
Coha is also present. She's standing nearby with Keliath and two other older dwarves--likely Coha's parents. They're having some kind of discussion, and Coha looks rather distressed by it.
Katya Mereida's Daughter (Village Square) Katya finds Finbul alone, at the village well. He is sitting with his back up against it, drinking a mug of ale that was clearly made for humans, so he has to hold it carefully with both hands to avoid dropping it.

Ladonna watches as everyone walks away, and so she feels safe to walk over to Tavos and hold her hand down to him. "Both of them overreacted," she says softly.

Once Tavos is able to breathe normally again, he accepts Ladonna's hand and gets back on his feet. "He was right, it was my fault. I shouldn't have been so close to her. He's warned me before."
Katya Mereida's Daughter (Village Square)
"Interesting? If only. No, nothing has changed at all," Finbul replies sullenly and with a slight slur to his words, suggesting he's slightly inebriated. "We stopped a war, saved this place from the brink of destruction and..," he gestures to the people around them, "everyone just went back to their normal lives. It's like it never happened at all. We risked our lives, but all we accomplished was to maintain the status quo."
