Fosco and Orianna (Stonehill Inn) Noticing the two just standing there, the innkeeper clears his throat. "Did either of you need anything else today?" he asks politely.
Gotrek and Bareris (Shrine of Luck) "Or re-killing, as would be the case with undead," Zoya adds. She says this in such a deadpan way, it's difficult to discern if she's making a joke or being completely serious.
"In any case," Sister Garaele adds, "you'll want to head to Conyberry, or what's left of it, to the east. Follow the Triboar Trail for about 50 miles and you'll walk right into it. Barbarians raided it years ago, and it's sat abandoned every since. But if you then go northwest, into the Neverwinter Forest, you'll find an old trail. It will take you straight to Agatha's lair."
"We came here from the east, and passed through a ruined town," Zoya recalls. "That must have been Conyberry then."
"Oh, excellent. Then you are already familiar with the area," Garaele says.
"If I recall, it took us a little over two days to get from Conyberry to here. So it will likely take us that long to get back there," Zoya states. "We should prepare accordingly."

"Ah, no," Orianna says. She leaves the inn to deliver the cargo, as that was their job.

Fosco and Orianna (Barthen's Provisions) Orianna, Fosco, Djan and Kalli all load back into the wagon parked outside, then drive it north up to Barthen's Provisions, the biggest trading post in Phandalin. Stepping inside, they find the owner, a lean and balding human male, along with his two clerks. "Morning and welcome to Phandalin, strangers. You look the adventuring type, if you don't mind me saying. Backpacks, bedrolls, rope, rations, whatever you need, we have! What can I help you with?"
Gotrek and Bareris (Shrine of Luck) "Head north, past the smithy, and then take the road that forks west," Sister Garaele answers. "Follow that road to the end, and you'll walk right into Edermath Orchard."

"We have some cargo to deliver," Orianna says. "We were hired by a dwarf...whose name I am blanking on at the moment." "I think it was...Stoneseeker?" Fosco wonders aloud, racking his brain. "No, wait, Rockseeker. Grunten Rockseeker, or some similar. Gundred, maybe..."

Fosco and Orianna (Barthen's Provisions)"Ahh, you mean Gundren Rockseeker!" Barthen says. "That's great, we've been expecting you. Not too much trouble on the road, I hope?" He looks over to his clerks. "Ander, Thistle, mind unloading the cargo and putting the wagon away?" The two nod and head outside.
"And how is old Gundren doing these days?" Barthan asks, turning back to the group. "Last I heard he had some exciting news about a long lost mine somewhere. He's a great guy; all the Rockseekers are. Great customers, too. Nundro and Tharden are camped somewhere outside town, digging around for that lost mine now, I suspect. I haven't seen them in a tenday or so, so I figure they'll be back any day now to resupply." Gotrek and Bareris (Edermath Orchard)The trio follow the sister's directions, and soon come upon a tidy little cottage beside an apple orchard. As it is spring, the trees are filled with beautiful red apples. A fit, silver haired half-elven man carrying a basket of the aforementioned apples is just now heading to the cottage when the party arrives. Noticing them, he turns to face them. "Hail strangers, and well met. Hungry for apples?"

"Actually I wouldn't mind an apple. How much sir? And by the way we are looking for someone. An ex adventurer. My group and I are in the area looking for work and to help out with any problems in the area. Would you happen to know of any thing interesting?"

"Well, I don't know how he is doing," Orianna admits. "He was...captured by goblins we believe. We tried to find him, but all we could save was his retainer."

Fosco and Orianna (Barthen's Provisions)"Oh, dear," Barthen says with a worried expression. "That's terrible. I hope he'll be alright. Do you have any plans to find and rescue him? You do look like the adventuring type, as I said before, after all."
Around this point, Ander returns, looking a bit pale. "Uh, pop, um..."
"What's the matter boy? Did you unload the wagon and put it away?" Barthen asks.
"Uh, well, we unloaded our stuff, but there's also cargo on there with the Lionshield emblem on it, and uh, also, uh..."
"Spit it out, boy."
"Pop, there's a corpse on the wagon!"
Gotrek and Bareris (Edermath Orchard)The half-elf chuckles. He takes an apple out of the basket and tosses it to the dwarf. "No charge. And I've done some adventuring in my day. Daran Edermath of the Order of the Gauntlet, retired, at your service."
As a follower of Helm, Gotrek has heard of the Order before. They are a group of clerics and paladins dedicated to the destruction of evil in the world. Most are dedicated to the gods Tyr, Helm, Torm, and Hoar.
"And now that you mention it, there is something I've heard about. I've heard stories from prospectors in the hills northeast of here that someone has been digging around in the ruins known as Old Owl Well. It's a couple of days out, south of the ruins of Conyberry. Disturbingly, several of those prospectors I spoke to claim they were chased away from the area by undead."
He continues, "This worries me. I know that those ruins are an old watchtower to an ancient magical empire known as Netheril, and I'm concerned that dangerous magic might be dormant there. If you could check it out, I'd much appreciate it. I'm afraid I don't have much to pay you with, aside from apples, that is. But aside from doing a good deed, I'm sure you may stumble upon some old treasure out there, as well."
"It does sound like a noble quest," Zoya remarks. "Undead are a vile abomination, regardless of circumstances."

Orianna lets out a sad sigh. "During our...daring rescue, we lost one of our own," she explains. "We didn't want to leave him, so we brought him with us so that we could give him his proper rights after we deliver our cargo," she explains.
