Drezden and Malavar The figure looks about ready to dash back into the woods, but hesitates and then seems to think better of it. In Common, he calls out, "Outsiders...do you count yourselves friends or enemies of goblins? Or Garagos?"
Jaxle and Dallion "Wooow, Evermeet!" Dell exclaims. "What's it like there? Are you allowed to say? I'd love to see it, even for just a minute, if I could. I've heard stories of being full of magic and wonder. I can't imagine anyone would ever want to leave it!"

Drezden raises an eyebrow and doesn't reply he looks to Malavar with a look that tells just how the dwarf feels about goblins a look of rage in his eyes as he starts to breathe heavily and grinds his teeth. "You best reply cause I can't." he says trying to control himself through his gritted teeth.

Malavar laughs. "I have never met a goblin that didn't end up trying to steal from me or murder me when he thought it safe to do so. And I am a servant of Tempus, Lord of Battles. It is written that he defeated Garagos and assumed his mantle many hundreds of years ago. As for my friend here, I think you may surmise what he thinks of goblins from the sound of his gnashing teeth."

Drezden and Malavar "Tempos?" the figure repeats, a bit surprised. "Then...if you are enemy to both goblins and Garagos...and servants of Tempos...maybe you would be willing to help me. A gang of goblins that follow Garagos have a camp near here. I seek to wipe them out, but I cannot do it alone. Not without my gear."

Drezden calms a bit hearing the man is not with goblins or Garagos "Gear what gear? Goblins took it? Where are these goblins anyway?" the ranger asks sounding a bit eager to be rid of more goblins if there are any in the area.

"I would certainly be willing to help, but we are both under contract to the man who owns the wagons over there. I cannot in good conscience abandon my duties to join you without his permission. If you are willing to wait for us to speak to him, then hopefully Master Peddywinkle will see the good sense in clearing the road of marauding goblins. Indeed, if you join us, you may even be able to convince him yourself."

Drezden and Malavar
"My gear: my axe...my bow...my supplies. The goblins took them all. And killed my wolf."
The figure hesitates. After several silent moments of pondering, he seems to come to a conclusion and nods. "Very well. I will meet with your chieftain. I will trust you are not trying to trick me into a trap. For now."
The figure approaches, cautiously. Now closer, Drezden and Malavar can make out better details of the man. He is clearly not human, although there is a resemblance. His eyes are a piercing icy blue, almost glowing. His skin has a snowy pallor that makes him look like he has frostbite all over his body, although he does not seem hindered by it, were that the case. There's also a noticeable aura of coldness emanating from his body. Standing next to him, it's actually colder than it is normally.

Drezden perks up when hearing wolf mentioned "You had a wolf? You some sort of druid or ranger then?" the dwarf decides not to comment on the odd coldness emanating from the fellow.

"She was my hunting companion...and my friend," the man says, an edge of sadness in his voice.
Drezden and Malavar escort him back to the camp. Peddywinkle, warming himself by the fire stands as they approach. "Well, it seems you caught our spy. But what is this, why bring him here?" he asks.

Drezden "No spy a man fallen upon hard times by goblins. They have slain his wolf and taken his gear." the dwarven ranger informs. Though when he mentions goblins his voice gets angry sounding and slightly violent sounding. "We were concerned this would be leading to an ambush if we were to travel up the way so we brought him back to give you the news and see if we should go ahead and dispatch the critters."

"Indeed, it would seem the sensible thing to do. Even if these goblins are presently unaware of our caravan, from this fellow's telling they are raiders and brigands. A pre-emptive attack to ensure that they can do us no harm would not be a wasted effort. Which reminds me - do you have a name, friend?"

Jaxle- Moves to a cover position hearing the word of goblins in the area. Hiding in the shadows looking for a tree to climb that may give him a good overlook position.

"Krah," the man says. "I am called Krah."
Peddywinkle gets to his feet and looks Krah over. "Interesting. You are of the Frost Folk, are you not? You are a long way from the Endless Wastes."
"Wow, the Frost Folk!" Dell crows. Then, after a moment, he asks quietly, "Who are the Frost Folk?"
Krah takes a step back in surprise. "You...know of us?" He shakes his head. "I am an exile."
"I see," Peddywinkle says. He looks to Drezden and Malavar. "And you want to find these goblins and deal with them?"
Rafferty grunts and mumbles to Dell, "Told you this would happen."
Peddywinkle strokes his mustache a bit in thought, then says, "Very well, I will allow this. But I can't have the caravan left unprotected. You two," he says, looking between Drezden and Malavar, "may go. And one other. But the rest stay."
"Oh, I volunteer!" Dell offers, raising his hand.
Rafferty slaps the hand down. "You stay here, boy."
"Aww," Dell says, crestfallen.
Meanwhile, Jaxle climbs up a nearby tree, perhaps a bit less stealthily than he had intended. Glancing over the camp from his vantage point, he doesn't see anything dangerous in the area.

Drezden "Dell it'd be best if you stayed here. You'd need a lot of training before wandering off with us to deal with goblins and I don't want to have to bring you back hurt or worse your dad would have my neck, and I'd never live it down."

Dell nods sullenly. "But...you'll tell me all about it when you get back, right?" he asks.
"I have no weapon," Krah says. "But if someone could loan me one, I can help fight."
