Krah looks over at Drezden numbly, without recognition. But it fades after a moment, he blinks a few times, and seems to return to his old self. "My axe!" He accepts the sack gratefully and looks through it. He pulls out a waterskin and finds it's empty. "They ate all of my food, too," the frost man observes.
Malavar looks over the group, but it appears not one of them took a single injury. Krah appeared to have been hurt earlier, but he's fine now. Truly, Tempus was with them for this fight.
"You have my thanks for this, all of you," Krah says. "I have avenged my wolf and retrieved my gear. Perhaps the stories of warm bloods I've heard growing up are wrong, and there are good ones among you after all. I do not know how I can thank you."
bows to Krah as a sign of respect "No thanks needed Krah, tis simple me doing my rangerly duty. Calling you a friend is all I'd ask of you." |

"Friend?" Krah repeats. "For the longest time, I thought Raana would be my only friend." He looks over at the dead winter wolf sadly. "And then she was gone. And now it is only me." He shakes his head as if to shake off his dark feelings, and then hands the warhammer back to Malavar. "Thank you for letting me use this. It is a fine weapon. But I prefer my axe."

Krah thinks on this for a second, then says, "I have nothing left here. Very well, I shall accompany you."
The group makes their way back to the campsite. Jaxle, up in the tree, is the first see their return. It appears the camp is still safe.
"Welcome back," Peddywinkle says upon their return. "I take it your little expedition was successful then?"
"See, see? They did come back," Dell says, nudging his uncle with his elbow. "You owe me five copper."
"Later," Rafferty grumbles, frowning.

Drezden "Yes it was successful to an extent. I wish there was something we could have done to help save Krah's wolf. But we did manage to take care of the goblins and the bugbear they had with them." the dwarf informs everyone at the camp that didn't go on the 'hunt'.

Malavar inspects the axe carefully, giving it a few practice swings. "A fine weapon, Krah, but I can do better. If you ever have need of a replacement, seek me out and I shall make you an axe so sharp you could split hairs with it," he grins.

"Very good," Peddywinkle says. "That said, I believe I will turn in for the night now. I'll leave it to you to decide on tonight's watch. We shall resume our journey at first light. Good night." With that, he climbs back into his wagon.
"I thank you for the offer," Krah says to Malavar. "But I would have no means to pay for such a thing." He accepts his axe back and looks it over. "It may not be much, but it is all I have left of my home now."

Drezden offers "I'll take first watch. Krah would you care to join me? I'd like to learn what I can of you and your kin if that is ok with you."

"And I shall take the second watch," Malavar adds. "If any of you would care to keep me company, that would be most welcome," he says, addressing the elves and Taska Whiteship.
"No matter, Krah. One day you may have both the need and the resources, and I will stand by my offer then. After all, Tempus charges his servants to arm all who must face battle, and I'll wager that you, my friend, will see battle many times yet in your life."

Krah nods. "As you wish. For avenging my wolf and retrieving my gear, I would be honored to help you protect your tribe."
"Sure, big guy, I can keep you company," Taska offers.
After some thought, Krah says with an almost fatalistic tone, "I believe you are right about that."

If anyone wants to roleplay out a scene during their watch, let me know. For the sake of expediency, we can run multiple scenes at once, even if they take place at different times.)
