"I am called Corus," the man replies. "Son of Vodos, Lord of Brightsands, Slayer of the Kraken King, Patron of House Pumanath and Lady Shalryn, Coral General, Bane of Blight, Tamer of the Hippocampi."
"I only found you four, and just in time, too," Corus answers. "It seems the pressure of the deep knocked you out, and you likely would have drowned otherwise. I found you and brought you here, although in doing so, I'm afraid I've doomed you all anyway. You see, this is a network of caves that once belonged to the undine, but was abandoned due to the war. I thought it was safe here, but only hours after I deposited you here, a band of sahuagin moved in and occupied the place. Luckily, they have not discovered the tunnel that leads to this chamber yet, so you've been safe. But there is no way I can sneak you back to the surface without detection. And sooner or later, they will find this place. Death from drowning may well have been a more pleasant fate than what the sahuagin will have in mind for you."
Johannas has never seen one before in person, but he studied a number of merfolk races while in training as a druid, and Corus perfectly fits the description of the Triton, a race of the deep seas. The Triton are said to be ever vigilant crusaders against the forces of darkness beneath the waves and self-declared protectors and wardens of the ocean itself.

"You have an impressive name there, handsome," Kalana admits. "But if it is all right by you, could we skip the title and just call you Corus?" she asks. "I'm Kalana, and this is Jaeron, Johannes, and Senllip" she adds, motioning to each person in turn. "As for the sahuagin, it sounds like we are going to have to fight our way out," she admits with a sigh. "Because we can't stay here." She pats down her body for a moment to make sure that she still has most of her stuff. "And it seems as if I have my weapons and armor, so we aren't defenseless. Though, out of curiosity, if the sahuagin were to capture us, what would they do?"

"Most likely, they would torture you, and then eat you," Corus answers. "And to be clear, I don't mean they would kill you and then eat you. They are...messy eaters. Less likely, but also possible, is they would take you alive and imprison you as a slave. Maybe make you fight other slaves for entertainment. Sometimes they like to allow prisoners to escape, so they can have the fun of hunting them down again. But even so, eventually they would probably just eat you at some point."
He looks over the group. "You are warriors then? That does make things easier, but...most of your surface weapons don't work too well underwater. Too much resistance down here for slashing and bludgeoning weapons. And projectiles, as well. Piercing weapons work well enough, though. Like this." He shows off his trident.

"We're members of the Blue Lightning," Kalana says. She doesn't know if these people know of the Blue Lightning or not, but she figures she might as well drop the name all the same. "We have spent our time sailing between the islands helping people when we can," she explains. "And I'm not sure about everyone here, but being underwater isn't going to be too much of a hindrance for me while fighting," she explains as she holds up her hand to show off her ring. "This allows me to fight underwater as if I was on land, providing that I'm using my staff or sabres. The rest of my weapons are pretty useless. The only problem all of us are going to have is breathing."

Jaeron "I'm actually a warrior and a priest." the gnome admits Corus. "Being a priest I'm not permitted to use piercing weapons."

Flying above the railing Senllip marks the experience as extraordinary. 'I'm flying!! And in such a storm! I feel like a seagull..' Once hitting the water he tries to swim closer to his friend. Moments later he sees Kalana also enjoy the experience of flying... When she lands near them he says, "What a rush eh?! You saw us and got jealous?" he jokes, but struggling against the current tires his small body quickly. Although he knows how to swim and tries to avoid moving against the current, it is still tiring to avoid being pulled down.
When he wakes up in the cavern and participate in Corus introduction he yelps, "Slayer of the Kraken King??" he raises his brows in wonder. "Can you please tell us about that? What is the difference between normal Kraken and King? Only the size? The wits? How did you pull it off anyhow and when?"
============================================= (OOC: Not that it is so important but Senllip did 10 points of damage to Slaad and not 5. Only making it more annoyed

"None of you look blue to me," Corus observes. He clearly has never heard of this organization before.
"That could be more of a problem," Corus agrees. "How long can surfacers go without air? An hour? Two?"
"A priest? Of the sea goddess? If so, simply ask her to let you breathe in the water. Or is that beyond your power?" Corus asks.
"It was not I, but my father, Vodos, who slew the Kraken King. It was a magnificent battle, or so I am told. It was before I was born, so I did not witness it," Corus explains. "The Kraken King was, well, the king of all krakens. Ten times as large, they say, with tentacles so long it could lay them across an entire city without stretching. It was said that it was no ordinary kraken, but also part demon and it sought to destroy the entire deep sea."

Jaeron adds to his explanation "A priest of Gonto I'm not sure if your people know of Gonto or not. But who is this sea goddess you speak of?"

"Uh, I can hold my breath for about a minute if I really try," Kalana says. "It is safe to say that we aren't going to make it very long under water without a way to breathe."

"I am not familiar with this 'Gonto,'" Corus replies. "But the Great Sea Goddess is the Mother of All Life and Queen of the Seas. We call her Octhanus. It was she who created my people and charged us with the sacred task to keep the world safe from all evils that dwell in the deepest and darkest areas of the ocean floor."
"That's it?" Corus asks incredulously. "Your people live on tiny spots of land, surrounded by water on all sides. It is a wonder surfacers have lived this long at all. Well, this is a problem. It would take far longer than a minute for me to take one of you to the surface, even if there were not a score of hungry sahuagin between here and there."

Kalana looks to Jaeron and Johannes. "Is there something either one of you can do to help with the breathing problem?" she asks.

Jaeron shakes his head "All I had or have is my underwater action helmet nothing for breathing water."

Senllip imagines the battle with the Kraken King with awe, "A DEMON!? Wow... Entire city?!?" his eyes focus far away as his mind weaves the scene. Suddenly his thoughts are interrupted by his fellows conversation. "Well we can breath here. If we can get something to capture the air we can use it under water. Same as when you row in a small boat and it flips over and sinks. You have air to breath for a while. Maybe you have water skins or some other sacks immune to water?" he gestures to Corus. Then, pretty sure they can move on he tell Corus about the Golem he have witnessed and the bone dragon they saw before the wind and annoyed toads threw them overboard.

Kalana looks to Senllip and shakes her head at his idea. "I don't think that actually works," she says.

"I can cast a spell of Water Breathing," Johannas offers. "But it will take an hour for me to prepare enough for all four of us."
"I'm afraid I have neither a boat or sacks of air with me," Corus admits.
