Most of the villagers back away a bit, as if afraid the priestess might suddenly attack. One of the bolder ones, however, actually steps forward. "The townmaster," she says. "But he won't do anything. He's never done anything to stop them."
=============
Bareris, meanwhile, strips the damaged studded leather armor off the three dead bodies, then drags them to the temple. Showing up with three corpses and covered in blood is quite a sight, for Sister Garaele actually grabs her mace warily. "What is this? What did you do?" she asks.

Orianna looks to Zoya and Fosco once the halfling kid is gone. "Well, going straight through the front door of that manor doesn't seem like a smart idea, and with fighting them they might try to do more harm to this town," she says. "So I suggest we follow the kid to the tunnel."

Sister Garaele lowers her mace. "Honestly, when I said I hoped someone would deal with the Redbrands, I admit I didn't really mean straight up murder. But yes, I can see to it they receive the proper rites of passage to the next world."
==============
"I agree, the tunnel may be the optimal option," Zoya says. "We may as well investigate the manor anyway, as that is where Hallwinter said his associate went missing. But did you hear what the boy said about his mother knowing a druid who knows this area well? If so, he may know something about Cragmaw Castle, yes?"

"Perhaps we should ask him of he will introduce us to his mother so we can ask about the druid?" Orianna asks.

Bareris and Kavarra return to the group at this point.
"It does seem the best option," Zoya says, agreeing with Orianna.

Orianna turns towards Bareris and Navarra once they return. "So that kid that we saved might be helpful to us. There is apparently a tunnel that leads into that mansion on the hill where the Redbrands are holed up. Not only that, but that boy's mother might know someone that knows where Cragmaw Castle is."

"Do you wish to accompany us?" Zoya asks Navarra (and possibly Klaxon, if he's still around).

Navarra nods. "Sure do. Clean up the town, find us some hidden treasure, and feel the thrill of exploration as sweet as a pile of apples? Sounds like a hell of a shore leave to me."

With that decided, the party escorts the boy to his home, the Alderleaf farm. Before the simple homestead stands a halfling woman in her mid-forties, looking anxious. Upon seeing the boy, she hurries over and hugs him. "There you are, Carp! Where have you been, and why are you so dirty?" she asks, licking her thumb and then using it to try and clear some of the dirt from the boy's face.
"Mooooom, not in front of the adventurers!" Carp objects, trying and failing to pull away from her.
Looking up at the party, the woman frowns. "Hello...who are you? My son wasn't causing you trouble, I hope?" she asks.

"Well, I can hardly fault him for running afoul of those Redbrands," Fosco admits.
