Cursing his need for better material, Klaxon steps 5 feet to the east to help clear Orianna's line of sight and fires another bolt of fire, this time at Redbrand4.

Fosco nods at Orianna and rolls under the wall of legs facing him, landing front of the first Redbrand. He draws his rapier to his throat. "Release the child," he demands intimidatingly. "Now,"

A sudden bolt of lightning leaps out of Navarra's body in retaliation of that last attack, striking the redbrand before her. She screams as she is basically fried on the spot, and her smoldering corpse drops to the ground. Fosco uses the opportunity to slip by and confront the gang leader, but he doesn't even notice the halfling. He's watching the fight with a stunned look, at this group that just killed two of his people.
Klaxon then blasts a bolt of flame at the remaining redbrand, severely burning him and Bareris finishes him off with a circular knee kick, breaking his neck. The gang leader, now the last one standing, pales. He tosses the kid right toward Fosco, and then books it, running to the east at full tilt, yelling curses the whole way.

Baeris not being a man of many words, stretches out a few times, maybe doing a backflip to show off) sZcfMeQi1d20+5 acrobatics dexterity bassed if needed
He is sure the others can calm the child better, similarly leaves the searching of bodies to Orianna as it seems to be her gimmick
Not having much else left to do, he goes back to the tavern, takes the first ale glass he finds (even from a complete stranger), gulps it down in 1 go and through an amount that would cover the cost (times 2) to the person he took the mug from, Then he walks op to Elsa holding the mug - clearly waiting for a refill. winks suggestively at her and whispers "So where did we finish off before the interruption" 1d20+5

Fosco does his best to catch the halfling child, and asks him, "Are you OK? Did any of them hurt you?"

"Should we try to stop that one?" Klaxon quickly asks while glancing at his companions and then looking back at the fleeing bandit, while moving 30 feet in his direction.

Navarra smiles and takes in a deep breath when her bolt kills the thug attacking her. "Flash-fried bandit. Smells like... Victory!"
"Damn right, Klaxon!" Navarra responds when the leader takes off, and gives chase. "Get back here ya yellow-bellied coward!" she shouts, "I ain't done with you! Zoya! Get me my rope, we're gonna keelhaul this asshole! You wanna be a bandit like you're some kinda badass, I'm'a show you how a real sea dog handles yer kind!"
Navarra is currently carrying 70 pounds of gear (armor, sword, shield, belaying pin, clothes, belt pouch; I think I forgot to include her belaying pin in my last calculation, hurff), which does not exceed 5 times her strength, and chain only requires a 13 strength against Navarra's 14, so she shouldn't be encumbered. If I missed something she'll drop her belaying pin (2 pounds).
She's also got a good strength and con, and is trained in athletics, so she's going to chase this guy until she can chase no more, until his legs give out and she catches him, or he surrenders.

"Let's let him go. We are probably going to see them again anyway," Orianna says. She walks over to Fosco and the kid that they just saved. "Hey, are you okay?" she asks. "What was going on there?"

After tossing the poor patron he stole an ale from eight coppers, Bareris speaks to Elsa. She, however, simply gawks at him in surprise. "I can't believe you did that! Nobody has ever stood up to the Redbrands before." She pauses in thought, then frowns. "They are probably going to retaliate. There are a lot more of them still at the manor..." The kid seems relatively unharmed, except for a couple of mild bruises. "I'm alright," he says, getting to his feet and dusting himself off. "But that was awesome! You guys were all, 'Stab, stab, whack, whack, fwoosh, zap, boom!'" He wipes his nose and sniffs. "Those darn Redbrands think they own this town."
"Dumb Redbrands were harassing my mama," the boy explains. "I came to tell them to stop. I'm going to be an adventurer someday, too. I figured this would be my first quest." He wipes his nose again. "My mama knows a druid who lives around here, he knows this area really well and has killed lots of monsters and bad guys and stuff. I want to do the same." He then leans forward and quietly adds, "I even found a secret tunnel out in the wilderness. I think it leads to the Redbrands' base."
Meanwhile, Navarra and Klaxon give chase after the lone Redbrand escaping. Zoya does not grab Navarra's rope or make any effort to join the chase, instead being more concerned with the well-being of the child. The Redbrand leads them to the east, down the road, to a large, dilapidated manor on a hill. He disappears inside, slamming the front door behind him. There's no way to tell if he's alone in there, or if a score of Redbrands are waiting inside for them.

still whispering Baeris says to Elsa
"Oh so there are more of those thugs around - good - we can get more fun - don't worry we will drive em out of town, and once we do maybe we can get some time alone..."
After that he goes back to the rest of the group to see if they found anything useful or got new information

Navarra kicks the door half-heartedly and laughs. "Yeah, run back to yer rat nest! You gon' get yours soon enough, Redleg, or my name ain't Navarra Sevrakina! You ain't the top dogs in the town no more!"
She reaches for her pack instinctively, but it's not there. She'd have had a hard time keeping up she was carrying that mule's load of gear. Seems she won't be tossing any lit torches onto the roof today, but it's just as well, that would be a bit much anyway.
She sighs and takes a step back, taking in the mansion and its surroundings. Not the kind of rat nest she was expecting. "You know, much as I'd like to, Klaxon, once you get t'breakin' and enterin', that ain't my kinda menacing no more, y'know? Figure once they done got back to their castle, they're as retreated as they gon' get. They're as good as surrendered, and I got a thing'about killin' folks what already surrendered. What say we head back?"
As they turn to make their way back she just can't resist. She picks up a fist-sized rock and hefts it in her hand with a quick grin to Klaxon, and lobs it through a window. "I dunno what'cher talkin' 'bout, I didn't see nothin'."

"You were going to go down that tunnel alone?" Orianna asks. "That is certainly brave of you," she admits. "But maybe instead you could show us the tunnel? If we know where their base is, we might be able to do something about them harassing this town."

"But...what about the mess?" Elsa asks, pointing to the three dead bodies lying on the inn doorstep.
The kid points to the old manor on the hill to the east, in the direction Navarra and Klaxon ran off in pursuit of the Redbrand. "They're holed up in that old place. I'm pretty sure the tunnel leads inside, if you don't want to risk going through the front. But...I don't know much about the place. You could ask my mom. She's been around longer. I should go check on her, make sure the Redbrands don't send anyone after her. Lots of people who crossed 'em disappeared later, you know? But yeah, I can show you where the tunnel is afterward." Meanwhile, back at the dilapidated manor, Navarra has trouble finding a window that hasn't already been broken. But she does find one after some searching, and throws a rock into it, breaking it.
Although Navarra herself cheekily announces she 'saw nothing,' several of the locals who followed (at a safe distance) to watch do see the act of vandalism and there are some murmurs among them as a result.

Navarra's grin sinks as she realizes she's got an audience. On the one hand, she's glad that kicking mafioso ass is something they're interested in seeing, but at the same time, she's not pleased that there's apparently nobody protecting these people, and they clearly don't know how to protect themselves. If the guy said they're going to punish the townspeople, then clearly they aren't willing co-conspirators.
"'Ey! 'Ey! Why you folks ain't got a sheriff or watchmen'r somethin' what kicks the shit out o'them for ya? Why some salty, scrappy priest o'Valkur gotta do it for ya? I ain't gon' tell yas I ain't gon' do it, 'cause kickin' pirate'n bandit ass is part an' parcel with servin' Valkur, but somebody in this town's collectin' yer taxes and they ain't doin' their job, an' I ain't okay with that."
