"I'm sorry, it appears it's my turn to interrupt" Katya says as she approaches Ladonna and Ingot.
She speaks to Ladonna directly "the Baron has asked to speak to you, me and Lillian."

Ladonna looks up from her conversation with Ignot to look at Katya with surprise. "The Baron?" she asks. "Really?" While she seems confused as to why the Baron would want to speak with them, she also appears excited. "Right now?"

"I didn't hear from The Baron directly, but when Captain Stormwind told Ser Walls he specified tonight. I'm not sure why just the three of us."

"Oh," Ladonna says. "Well, it seems that we have some time then before we need to meet him. Would you like to meet up somewhere before we all three head there together?" she asks.

Ladonna stands from where she was sitting, and looks down at Ignot. "We can continue this conversation later," she says to him with a smile before she joins Katya. "Let's go."

The three find Derica waiting for them by the inn entrance. "Ah, all three of you are accounted for then. Are you ready to go?" she asks.

"No, I only just learned of this a few minutes ago," Derica admits. "But if I had to guess, something to do with your recent dealings with the goblins and stopping that shapeshifter cultist." She gestures for them to follow as she makes her way toward the baron's manor.

Ladonna follows after Derica while thinking about what the Baron could actually want from them. Of course, she has never met the Baron either so she is kind of excited as well.

Derica only shrugs, having no insider knowledge on what was going on or why. The group make their way up to the manor's front door, and Derica uses one of the steel knockers to announce their presence. After a few moments of waiting in the cold, the door opens to reveal Captain Stormwind. He takes note that all three of the women are present along with Derica, then nods and lets them in. "He awaits you in the audience room," he tells them. Thanking him, Derica leads the way, seeming to know where that is.
None of the party have ever stepped foot into this building before. It looks nice and is well maintained and clean, but very quiet and empty. It almost feels abandoned, if not for the fact it was in such good shape. Derica escorts them down a hall, and each step they take seems to ring loudly in the quiet. To the right side of the hall are a series of windows facing the village, but the curtains are pulled on all of them. Candles set out on the walls light the way, otherwise the hall would be completely dark as no sun is getting through. On the left side of the hall are a series of portraits, all human. There is a strong family resemblance among the subjects, suggesting they may be former barons and baronesses.
The hall ends with a door that opens up into a small audience chamber. Above the throne is a large portrait of a family; there is a strapping fellow in his mid-thirties with dark hair and a beard, muscular and with a sword on his belt. Next to him is a woman, slightly younger, with bright blue eyes and hair as red as flame. In her arms is a baby who appears to be in the process of cooing happily.
On the throne itself sits an older man who looks much like the man in the painting. However, his hair and beard are grey, his posture is stooped and his physique is skinny and almost malnourished. His face is now covered in wrinkles and there are dark bags under his eyes. Although none of the party have ever laid eyes upon this man before, surely he must be the baron. Derica herself confirms it herself when she bows before him, then gestures to the others. "Baron William Escott, I present to you, Miss Ladonna Marche, Miss Katya and Miss Lillian, as requested."

Ladonna takes a small step forward, and bows slightly to the Baron as a show of respect to the older man. "Baron Escott, it is a pleasure to be able to meet someone such as yourself," she says charmingly. "We are honored by this opportunity."

Lillian also gives the baron a small bow, though she still feels somewhat cautious around him.

"You may rise," Escott permits after they have all bowed. "I am glad to finally meet you three. I have heard much of you and your recent adventures from the reeve's reports. It seems we came narrowly close to another Battle of Buho, twice, not to mention infiltration from an evil cult. Tell me...none of you serve as members of the watch or militia. You have taken no oaths. Why did you risk your life so many times?"
