"Good!" Finbul declares. "I'm glad you came to see that before you married him, instead of after. I just hope he doesn't try to retaliate in some way when he finds out the wedding is off."

Ladonna finishes off her own plate, and stands up from Derica's table. "Enjoy the rest of your day," she says politely. She decides to seek out Ignot in the crowd.

Ladonna finds Ingot sitting with his parents. While they have mostly finished their plates, Ingot's plate is still mostly untouched, and he only seems to be moving things around on his plate absently.

"Well, if he does try anything, let me know and I'll put the hurt on him," Finbul promises. "I'll use my magic to give him another lungful of fungus spores."

Ladonna takes a few moments to greet Ignot's parent's politely. "I hope you don't mind me stealing your son away for a little bit."

Ladonna"Ah, miss Marche," Mattin greets. "We were just discussing Ingot's upcoming wedding."
"Yes, have you spoken with Myra?" Dawn asks. "I believe she is still looking for a maid of honor, after all. Unless, of course, you feel too old for that role now."
"In any case, we need to speak with Myra's parents, so feel free to keep our son company in the meantime," Mattin adds. The two get up, collecting their empty plates, and depart.

Ladonna looks slightly confused at the mention of her being Myra's maid of honor, but she tucks that information away for later as she sits down in front of Ignot. "What's on your mind?" she asks as she watches him push his food around on his plate.

Katya smiles, a little sadly. It's bittersweet to have Finbul and Lillian promise to help her if Jherek retaliates.

"It's nothing fancy" Katya says, and it's not. The box contains a set of good quality gloves to keep his fingers warm while he is working.
Katya is glad she hadn't selected anything more ornate, given that Finbul had almost refused it. The situation would only have been that much more awkward if the gift was expensive.

"I didn't approach you to talk about my problems," Ladonna says with a small smile. "I am just adjusting to a new lifestyle. You, on the other hand, are still marrying Myra. You don't really seem very happy about that. Are you that unhappy that you don't get to marry me?" she teases lightly.

"Myra is a...lovely young woman...and I would...consider myself most...blessed to be...her husband. The...problem is that...she does not...feel the same...way. She does...not wish to...marry me and...I do not...wish to force...that on her. But it is...not my decision...to make. I...feel bad for...her," Ingot explains. "My parents...say that with...time she will...change her mind... Perhaps that is...so but I...still feel bad...for her nonetheless."
Katya and Lillian
"Oh, nice! Thank you," he says. He removes the gloves he is already wearing, which are hole-filled (even exposing a couple of fingertips) with some burn marks on the palms, and then slips on the new gloves. "These are much better."

"Unfortunately, I don't have a way to stop the wedding this time around," Ladonna says with a sigh. "Unless you point out that you tend to go on dangerous adventures with us a lot of the time, and if something happens to you, it would be unfair to Myra."

Katya smiles, gratified for the second time today by the recipient of her gift choosing to wear it immediately.
"I'm glad you like them."
A second later she broaches a new subject
"Have you done anything with Anara for Solstice? I'm not sure how formal your relationship with her is. Have you been getting along?"
