Runt and Grognak work together against the two foes, although the sligs ignore the half-goblin in favor of the baaz, perhaps looking to avenge their fallen sibling.
A bit further north, Dorias is healed a bit by Ravarie, only to have that healing undone by another strike. However, Dorias retaliates and knocks the offending slig out cold, earning him more boos from the crowd and louder cheers from his admirer.
Teakettle spins on her heel and bolts to the north. Under other circumstances, the slig probably would have let her go and taken a moment to catch her breath. But she is still seeing red from the kender's taunts. Not only does she strike at Tea while her back is turned, but then sprints after her, hitting her again when she catches up. The audience cheers and some even start chanting "F'han Ta, F'han Ta!" in the ogre language. Tea doesn't know what that means, but it doesn't sound good.
Dorias, who does know the ogre language, recognizes "F'han Ta" to mean "Kill the kender." ============= InitiativeRunt: 7 Teakettle: 7 Grognak: 2+6 = 8 Slig 05: 3+6 = 9 Ravarie: 5+5 = 10 Slig 02: 5+6 = 11 Dorias: 6+5 = 11 Slig 07: 8+6 = 14 Slig 04: 10+6 = 16 Round 8!Runt claws at Slig 07 with incredible strength (+1 hit/+3 dmg) while enlarged (+50% dmg) with the Blue Phoenix's blessing (+1 hit) [TH 13] (1d20+2): 15+2 = 17, hit for (1d4+3): 1+3 = 4 non-lethal damage. Runt seems to savor their attention(now that they've been suitably worn down), and continues to press his newfound advantage now that the half-goblin has joined in on the brawl. He could hear Teakettle yelling somewhere in the distance, which meant the tiny, taunting creature was still alive at least. She'd have to wait until he finished off the annoyingly slippery sligs before him. [OOC: I dunno if it was clear Daos , but in previous rounds I'd stated I wanted to attack one foe repeatedly until it was downed, and shift any remaining attacks against the other when it dropped. Last round I struck both because I thought they were low enough to down, and it doesn't matter much since our rolls have been utter poop but I wasn't sure if I'd made that clear or not previously. Speaking of, give em the old One-Two claw again. Claw 1 euHAXBQh1d201d4+3Claw 2 1d201d4+31d20·1d4+3·1d20·1d4+3

"Tea needs help," Ravarie says to Dorias. "I'll keep an eye on the other two," she says before she backs up a few feet while pulling out her darts so she can throw them at slig 7.

"Indubitably, my lady," Dorias replies to Ravarie, then charges after the slig, seeking to strike it down before it can do as the crowd demands...
Actions Either run at full speed to catch up with Teakettle and the slig, in which case Dorias adds his Gallant bonus to his AC, OR Charge the slig if he can reach it in the same round, in which case he applies his Gallant bonus to his attack roll. He strikes for non-lethal damage.

Runt takes out his two opponents, one with each claw, his massive size and strength giving him such an advantage that he nearly kills them both by accident in the process.
Meanwhile, while Teakettle fights off the last slig standing, Dorias comes to her rescue and with the flat of his blade, knocks the creature out cold.
The announcer declares the slig party unable to battle any further, which makes the party the victors. There's quite a lot of booing from the audience, although there is some clapping and even a bit of cheering from the stands.

Ravarie rushes over to heal Teakettle, although her injuries are not serious and will probably heal on their own soon enough.
The portcullis on either side of the arena open to let the party back in, and to let the black robed clerics to enter the arena to heal up the fallen sligs. All live save one, which Runt killed due to his tremendous strength.

Ravarie casts Cure Moderate Wounds on Teakettle, restoring (1d10+1): 5+1 HP of non-lethal damage.

Dorias gives the crowd an elegant bow before turning to leave the arena.
"We did win, my lady, but it was a close run thing. Had it not been for your magic, we might not all be leaving under our own power," he thanks Ravarie.
"Don't pout, Teakettle, it's unbecoming. Besides, the crowd wanted you dead, so be happy that you're still here to frustrate them," he tells the kender with a wink.

Ravarie looks up at the crowd and spots the two cloaked figures. They are neither cheering or booing, but rather sitting quietly. Once in awhile, one will whisper something to the other, but they are too far even for her keen ears to hear them, and even so, the noise the rest of the crowd is making would have drown them out anyway.
