Wielding his warhammer, Malavar brings the weapon down on the broken skull, shattering it into small pieces. Some of the larger shards wriggle a bit, as if trying to move, but then eventually the pieces fall still.
"What was that? Did something happen?" asks Taska, looking left and right in the darkness. "Are we under attack?"

Drezden "Magic at work, might be the first magical trap was just triggered but the elf took care of the problem."

"Half-elf, Drezden," Malavar admonishes Drezden. "A skull began hopping around and tried to bite Dallion's ankles, Captain. It was no threat, but such an abomination should not be suffered to exist, no matter how harmless. Speaking of which, we really must see about getting you some light. Wait here," he says, then strides quickly back up the steps.
In the room above, he calls up to Krah. "Krah, can you make us two or three torches and toss them down to me?"
OOC: I assumed torch-making had been handled off-screen before we went down, but I guess not.

Drezden "Sorry yes half-elf." turning to Dallion "Uh and how many potentially evil wizard's towers have you been in then?"

Realizing they didn't have the proper supplies needed for this expedition, the party withdraws back up to the first room and climb back up to the surface. They then pack up and head back to Lonelywood, buy some supplies, then get rooms at the local inn. The following morning, they get up and set out again. It's mid-afternoon by the time they return, tie off the rope again, and climb back down to get back to where they originally were. The shattered skull remains as they left it, unmoving and in pieces.

It is now Mirtul 21st, Fourteenth Bell.
(OOC: Casters can pick new spells for the day, if they like.)

"Well then, shall we proceed as we planned yesterday? Jaxle, any sign of traps on the door?"
OOC: I presume that Malavar failed to find any secret or concealed doors the day before?

Drezden will patiently wait "Well I didn't find any pitfalls or anything but dunno what Jaxle found. How about magic traps anyone able to scan for those?"

There don't seem to be any pitfalls, hidden or concealed doors, or traps in this room. There is just the one door they haven't tried to the northwest, over by the broken skull, and then the staircase that brought them down here.

"Very well, let's proceed through the door in marching order. Jaxle, Drezden - if you'll lead the way?"

When entering the next room room, the first thing the party notices is a large four-poster bed resting against the southern wall. The canopy and drapes have long since rotted away, only to be replaced with an almost lace-work pattern of cobwebs. The mattress is rotten and moldy and its supports have rotted through. Immediately to their right stands a door. A large wardrobe rests against the north wall adjacent to the door. There is a window in this room, on the west wall, almost directly across from the door they just exited. An old writing desk rests against the wall to the right of this window. The window is fully blocked by earth, an amount of which has slipped through, forming a pile on the floor under the opening. They also notice that the door through which you entered the room becomes virtually undetectable when closed.

Drezden "Someone want to check the wardrobe I am going to check the desk there." the dwarf moves to investigate and open the desk drawers and search for anything that might be of use and or interest.

"We appear to have entered the wizard's bedroom, and it appears that he wanted no unbidden guests in the chamber we entered," Malavar notes, pointing to the door that is now almost invisible. Nodding in response to Drezden's suggestion, he walks over to search the wardrobe.
"Captain? Care to join me?" he asks Taska. Inspecting the doors, he checks to see if they're locked.

Drezden moves to the desk. On the desk itself, buried beneath the dust, lies a quill and old parchments, molded over and unreadable after a century of neglect. There are three drawers on the desk, but upon trying to open them, the ranger finds that all three are locked.
Dallion looks around the room. Although this bedroom once belonged to a wizard, he doesn't see any obvious signs of magic anywhere. At least, not in plain sight.
Meanwhile, Malavar moves over to the wardrobe. It does not appear to be locked.

(OOC: Both Drezden and Malavar bought lanterns and oil in Lonelywood, but it is unclear if either of them have actually lit their lanterns. If Drezden has, Taska will stay close to him, to be in the light. If Malavar did, or if both of them have lit their lanterns, she will accompany him to the wardrobe.)
