"We were went here from Hart to help you deal with poachers," Ladonna says. "I'm Ser Ladonna Marche."

“And I am Lillian,” she adds with a bow.

"I had been expecting you yesterday," he says. "Wait, if you are sent by the count, why are there Ruarans in your group?" he asks suspiciously, pulling his hood up over his face. "Oh, we are not Ruarans," Liala says. "In fact, we're Tardish." The man grumbles a bit, then opens the door wider and steps out, lowering his hood. He is an elven man, as his accent suggested, with a lithe build. Long, black hair pours over his shoulders and his skin is sun-kissed tan. He wears leathers that don't seem to make any noise when he moves, and is otherwise dressed in greens and browns. "We should set out immediately, before the poachers move their camp elsewhere."

Ladonna looks over the elven man curiously for a few moments before speaking. "You certainly don't waste any time," she says pleasantly. "How many poachers are we dealing with?" she asks.

"There isn't any time to waste," the warden says. "Based on the tracks I've seen, I'd estimate somewhere between a dozen and two dozen." He then starts heading deeper into the woods, not even looking back to see if anyone follows.

"Two dozen?!" Ladonna exclaims as she quickly follows after the elven man. "We should try to come up with a plan to deal with them."

“I hope they have the politeness to attack in small, easy-to-manage groups,” Lillian jokes, sighing.

"They are poachers, not soldiers," the warden points out. "The count's missive said you were accomplished heroes. If that is the case, a handful of rabble shouldn't prove difficult for you."

"Even accomplished heroes need to assess the situation, otherwise we will be easily overrun," Ladonna points out.

"As I said, they are poachers. They are more accustomed to attacking deer and quail, not trained warriors. You are in danger of overestimating their skill if you think otherwise," the warden points out.

"Very well," Ladonna says with a shake of her head.

"We should make haste," the warden says, picking up his pace. "It should only take two days to reach their camp."

"We can only move so fast," Ladonna says.

The rest of the day passes without incident. When night falls, they are not even half-way to the camp, but more of a quarter. Between Finbul's short legs and Lillian's lack of energy from hunger, it is beginning to look like the journey might take four days instead of two.
As the party makes camp, the warden paces back and forth, and keeps glancing skyward while muttering to himself in elven. He is clearly not pleased with their slow progress.
