Hmm so basically we want a 1 for dmg and the roller system here never works the way we want it to...so I think i will pray to Gonto that i don't kill the LT. I edited my post and added the 2nd attack no worry of death i didn't even hit.

Would Imrich's strength allow him to tear the door that Kalana's just gone through off its hinges in one round? I'm contemplating using it as an impromptu body shield or as a ram to push one of the swordsmen away from the door. Or maybe just throw it at number 9 if Senllip drops to the ground.
Also, how come Kalana is suffering from multiple bite and claw wounds? Did I miss a fight with a beastie here in town?

I'm pretty sure that Kalana wasn't fully healed after all of those fights on the ship before they arrived on the island.

Ah, that could be it. Maybe it's just the metagamer in me, but if Imrich had made port at half HP, I would've had him making a beeline for the nearest temple to get healed up.

Imrich is pretty strong. I'd say if he can pass a standard Open Doors check, then yeah, he can tear the door off the hinges. It would act as cover, but he'd need both hands to keep it propped up, so couldn't do much other than move with it. Throwing it, he would suffer a penalty to hit (say, -2 since he's a fighter), because it's an unwieldy projectile, and I'd say it might deal 1d3 damage on impact. If he uses it to ram someone, I'd say use the rules in the Complete Fighter's Handbook for Shield-Rushing, but with a -2 penalty to hit since it's an improvised shield.

Bishgada Complete cover is unlikely but the PHB has rules for taking cover against missile fire. For instance, 75% cover would cause the crossbowmen to suffer a -7 penalty to hit and 90% cover forces a -10 penalty to hit. It would be a DM call as to whether Imrich can manoeuvre a door through this new doorway and then manhandle it down the stairs and past the barrel while still retaining a cover bonus. And given that he needs to descend the stairs and move past the barrel, I strongly doubt running is on the menu. But if Daos says Imrich can get a decent cover bonus while doing so, I'm prepared to give it a shot. Daos An alternate course of action would be for Imrich to go all Donkey Kong and throw the remaining water barrel at the crossbowmen. Since all three managed to target Kalana at the top of the stairs, the ceiling must either be quite high or the stairs aren't very steep.

As Rax said, using a door wouldn't provide complete cover. And there are several points where you'd be exposed, namely in trying to fit the door through the doorframe and again when trying to squeeze past the barrel, because you'd have to move the door at an angle to do so.
As for barrel throwing, yeah, if they can shoot at you, you can shoot at them (or throw, as is the case). Remember that a barrel is an improvised weapon, so you'd get a non-proficiency penalty to hit (for Imrich, that's -2). And throwing range is 30/60/90 feet, so assuming you throw it right at the doorway, if you target anyone other than 13, you'll also suffer a range penalty to hit (another -2).

Might actually be easier if, say, Imrich tosses a barrel to keep the crossbowmen's heads down, then Senllip and Jaeron pick up the door and move down the stairs using it as cover. At the foot of the stairs they can stop, raise the door and thereby provide cover for the big folk to move down the stairs. If both Kalana and Imrich crouch while doing so, I have a hard time believing the crossbowmen could get a reliable LOS to shoot without serious cover penalties. After that, it's a matter of manoeuvring the door past the barrel and then advancing up the corridor.
Alternately, Imrich could do the first stretch down the stairs, but it feels intuitively more likely that a couple of small characters practically hiding under the door would get more of a cover bonus while negotiating the stairs.
What does everyone else think?
