Can you please remind me how men are in our crew and how many on the caravel? Also, is there a bonus at hitting men trying to board the ship? I assume they don't have much place to move to avoid being hit. Not including Senllip and Cassie, the Blue Diamond has 13 crewmen remaining. The caravel, from the looks of it, has somewhere around 35-40 crewmen remaining. And no, there's no mechanic for that. Whether anyone gets on board is dependent on luck and how many attackers/defenders there are. The crew is too busy trying to throw off the grapples to be able to shoot at that point, anyway.

It's amazing how Kalana single handedly conquered a ship

OOC: I don't know which of our ships is better, but Senllip wants to: 1. disarm the enemies of all weapons. 2. get all his crew and the enemy on the better ship. 2.5 use the enemies to men crew positions to get best speed and tie the extra crew 3. Drag the other ship to the Tiaru survivors so they can men it. 4. Join the fight with range weapons and later on with the other ship with the Tiaru crew. So I'm posting as is the Blue Diamond is the better ship, but if it is otherwise instead of letting the enemy come to the Blue diamond, his crew will get to the caravel after the enemies drop their weapons, and then verify they are completely disarmed. Can you please post again a map of the current situation? Also were are the survivors and which ships surrendered? Thanks. As you had so many questions, I decided to answer them here. "Which ship is better?" Depends on what you mean by better. The caravel is larger, faster, and more seaworthy. However, its weapons are inferior to the Blue Diamond's and it requires 20 crewmen to command, and Senllip only has 10, meaning if he took over the caravel, he would have to run it with a skeleton crew. "Use the enemy crew to fill positions." The enemy crew will not agree to fight for you or sail for you. You can tie them up in your hold or leave them on their ship, but under no circumstance will they change sides. What's more, there are 17 enemy crewmen left (plus the captain), and you only have 10 crewmen left. Meaning they outnumber you almost 2 to 1. Even if you disarm them first, it would be easy for them to overpower your crew and mutiny if they want to. "Drag the other ship." Both the caravel and Blue Diamond are sailing ships, not rowing ships. So tying them together isn't really feasible. The caravel is much larger and heavier than the Blue Diamond, so it would significantly slow you down, assuming you could get up any speed at all. Even if you did manage to get some (significantly lessened) speed going, with nobody controlling the caravel it could crash into the Blue Diamond if you stop or slow down (due to momentum) or pull the Blue Diamond off course. Best case scenario, assuming the wind is with you, I'd say maybe you'd get a speed of 10 yards every two rounds, at best. "Rescue the Tiaru survivors." The Salty Dwarf took on as many as they could before the ship went down. As for the rest, if they could swim, they're probably nearly to shore by now. If not, they've likely drowned by now. "Post a map." I'll see what I can do once Tethys' flag ship comes into play.

If you want to take the caravel and use some of the saved Tiaru crew I'm sure the Salty Dwarf can accommodate that.

Conceivably, the Blue Diamond could sail to the Salty Dwarf, board them, take on the extra crew, then sail back to the caravel and board it, letting the extra crew on. However, they'd still need a captain. A crewman would be insufficient, it'd have to be someone with actual class levels.

So I take it we did not mange to save the captain of the Tiaru?

Traditionally, captains go down with the ship. I imagine Julak isn't the type to steal a spot on the Salty Dwarf to save himself while leaving one of his crewmen behind.

Julak could still swim to shore. No need to die for no reason.

Assuming he can swim, yes, it's entirely possible he survived.

hmm the tides have turned and this is not looking good, again.
I mean we turned tides once already but the heavier hitting ships are down or going down this might not work out.
