Rewarding the Adventurers: The same servant that greeted most of the group the first time offers them to sit in the same space they last did when they waited for Burne and Rufus. "Hmm oh well I see you lost one of your group and found a new one. Well no matter please sit. I'll fetch the masters. If you need anything just give give a shout." the servant then heads off up the stairs just like last time. One of the guards stands at his post inside the entrance and one goes back out side. The rest take the prisoners down stairs to the dungeon where they will hold them for the time being. It is not long before the servant returns trailing Rufus though Burne is nowhere in sight. "Master Rufus, the adventurers have returned and are waiting in the usual location." you hear him explaining as they come down the stairs. "Ladies and Sirs master Rufus is here to speak with you. If anyone needs any thing please let me know." he looks around at the lot of you and waits if nobody asks for anything he heads off to his usual tasks. Rufus comes in and sits down to talk with you all.
Rufus looks rather please and notices the new person in the group and looks confused briefly noticing someone else is missing. "Hmm yes well I heard you had a great deal of success in the old moathouse. Brought in a group of brigands, some such band lead by a man calling himself knuckles Ria from what the reports are I've heard from the guards. News travels fast in a place like this. Very good work, now what happened to one of your group I see a new face and one missing? Were there casualties in your quest?"

"This is Tristen..." Daos begins the introduction, realizes he never caught the elf's family name--if he has one at all--and sort of trails off. "Uh, anyway, we met him in the marsh. Our other companion, Obasi Valorborn, disappeared in the same marsh. I suppose the terror of those giant frogs we faced was too much for him, and he ran off."

Coward, Narya thinks.

Tristen remains standing, preferrably near a wall and window or arrow slit. He watches Rufus with an unreadable, almost dispassionate expression. After Daos speaks, he allows a brief silence to stretch. he finally adds, Yes, word of troubles here reached me. So I am here.

"Either that, or he was eaten while we were all looking the other way," Roshek chuckles at the conversation about Obasi. "Anyway, Tristen here's proved himself a solid companion in combat and on the trail, so I'd say things evened out in the end."
"Tell me, Master Rufus, would your men-at-arms be in the market for some more weapons and armour? The bandits were fairly well equipped, but most of our party already have what we need in terms of personal armaments. We'd be happy to party with the extra gear for a fair sum," Roshek suggests.

Rufus nods his head accepting the statement about Obasi and Tristen "Well the men at arms are not mine. They name themselves after my partner Burne. But certainly if the weapons and armor are in good condition they would pay accordingly."

"Where is Burne, if you don't mind my asking?" Daos asks, curious why only Rufus appeared this time.

Rufus "I believe he had business in town and is meeting with the town council. Were these bandits all you found out in the ruins of the old moat house?"

"Well, no, there were plenty of beasts that we put down as well, but these were our only thinking opponents. We've cleared the ground floor and the upper floor is inaccessible, but there are apparently stairs that lead below, as well. I'm of a mind to head back and see where they lead once we've rested a bit," Roshek replies.

"Yes, rest sounds nice," Daos admits. "It has been a very long day."

Rufus "Ah very well. If it is rest you seek than I won't keep you from it. But as promised rewarded you shall be. If you would like to stop back when you are rested and ready to head back out I can have your reward waiting for you here."

"Thank you," Daos says. "But I thought our reward was you covering our inn expenses. Was there something more, as well?" he asks.

Rufus "Well lets just say I like folks like you that live up to your word. It is a rare thing. Or if you prefer I could just call us even." he says with a bit of a jovial tone and a smile.

"Ah, now, let's not be hasty," Roshek intervenes. "If master Rufus is willing to sweeten the deal, I for one won't be offended."
