Drezden glad to see Zedd again pats the big fellow as he is crushed in a bear hug "Zedd! Yes it has been a long time." He taps the half orc "Alright alright put me down lad." Once he has both feet on the ground again "What have you been up to Zedd?"

"Oh, I've mostly stayed in these parts," he says, putting the dwarf down. "Spreading the word of Tymora, and helping out those who are in need." He looks at the others. "Seems you've put together a new group since last time. Greetings and well met, all. I am Zedd! And any friends of Drezden are friends of mine."

"Greetings, Zedd of Tymora. I am Malavar of Tempus. You have worked with Drezden in the past?"

"Well met, well met!" Zedd replies. "And yes, has he never told you the tales? Haha, too modest, this one!" He slaps Drezden on the back, and it's hard enough the dwarf nearly loses his footing. "He and I were part of a team in Dagger Falls that saved the town from the sleeping sickness. A mysterious illness that would put its victims to sleep, permanently, until they died. We learned that strange, evil fey creatures called Nightshades were behind it. And they had been created by an evil wizard, Coledran Morn, an ancestor of none other than Randal Morn himself, in fact. Colderan had been raised by a priestess of Cyric, and he was planning to seize power back from the Zhents to rule in their stead. But we managed to thwart his evil plans and save a lot of lives in the process."

"Greetings and well met," Zedd says to Dallion. "But by the Lady Luck, some of you look quite beat up. Still fighting the good fight, I take it, Drezden? Well, perhaps then it was more than coincidence that we happened to meet here, at this holy place. Perhaps I can offer the Lady's healing to you all?"

Drezden "I talked about it a bit just not overly like bards might Zedd." the dwarf defends himself. Then nodding "Yeah Zedd fighting the good fight we were just up in Icewind Dale not that long ago in a suncken wizards tower fighting off his undead minions."

"The Undead, you say?" Zedd says, turning a bit more serious. "As it just so happens, that is what brings me here today. There have been increasing reports of undead in these parts. Nobody is sure where they are coming from exactly, and I was hoping I might find out myself and put an end to it."

Drezden "Huh how about bandits? Ran into a group blocking the road asking for a toll. Doubt it is related but appears to be a problem that wasn't here last time I was in the area. But about the undead Zedd how long has that been going on?"

"I don't know anything about bandits," replies Zedd. "They've always been a problem, especially the closer you get to Dagger Falls. The Zhents don't protect the roads, only their own caravans. But as for the undead, they first started appearing in this area about three weeks ago. Nobody is sure why or where they are coming from, but they are becoming quite a nuisance; even more so than bandits."

Kendrivel gets distracted by the flowers, but when the half-orc appears and begins a spirited conversation with Drezden he smiles. The grin grows ever wider as it becomes clear the two are old friends. The diminutive kender waves excitedly and rushes up. Hiya! I'm Kendrivel! or K-man, or Uncle K! Nice ta meet ya! His eyes go wide at the giant coin symbol of Tymora.
Gee that sure is shiny! I'm a priest too! But not of Tie-more-ah or... um or the other one. I follow the Great Trapspringer! Traveller and roaming adventurer! He stands proudly, grinning from ear to ear.
He looks puzzled a moment. Wazza Zen-toe-rim?

"Well met, friend Kendrivel!" Zedd returns. "I have never seen a halfling that wore shoes before; how interesting! Hmm, you've never heard of the Zhents? I guess you aren't from around these parts then. But wait, you've never heard of Tymora, either? How surprising! Perhaps I'm just biased, but I had thought her name was well known the world over."
He doesn't seem offended by Kendrivel's ignorance, just surprised. "Well then, allow me to educate you! Tymora is the goddess of luck. She's quite popular among adventurers, and halflings like yourself. Hmm, I have to admit, I've studied all kinds of religion, but never heard of a Trapspringer."
Zedd adds, "As for the Zhentarim, they are a nasty lot. They are a large network of spies, thieves and assassins. Years ago, they invaded Dagger Falls to the north and have occupied it ever since then. Brave Randal Morn, the true heir to Dagger Falls, works in secret to undermine their efforts and take back his throne."

Whilst Zedd is talking with Kendrivel, Malavar takes Drezden to one side and quietly asks him whether he thinks Zedd's support for Randal Morn is genuine and if he thinks Zedd can be trusted with the details of their mission.

Drezden assures Malavar that Zedd is rather sincere about his support of Randal Morn.

"Excuse me, Zedd, but you said that undead started appearing in this area about three weeks ago? As it happens, we have heard that there was an...incident...in a valley north of here about three weeks ago. Apparently, a party led by Randal Morn himself was ambushed there, first by Zhentarim and then by skeletons and zombies that rose from the earth. That undead should have started to appear in this area at about the same time seems like too much of a coincidence. I believe that this valley - the Giant's Craw - may hold the answer to your problem."
