Would anyone be interested in a 5e game where all starting chargen choices are rolled? After the random character building, it would be a pretty standard game in a home brew world. Either starting at level 1 or 3, depending on the player’s vote.

You're talking about pregens? Do you mean, like we choose one out of a list, or everyone is assigned one randomly? Are things like personality and backstory also pre-generated?
Either way, I'd be interested. Pregens are often a challenge, because I wind up playing something I normally wouldn't, and that can be a lot of fun.

No. I'm talking about randomly generating your character. Like, roll - I'm a dwarf. Roll - I'm a warlock, etc. Really, just rolling for race, class, and a prime personality trait. You still get to take it from there. |

Normally I dislike random generators, however, it is something I would be willing to give a try, as long as we aren't rolling stats as well. THAT gives up too much imo, as you could end up with a Paladin boasting 8 Strength & Charisma ... at least with my luck!  |

Such things always intrigue me. But is this an adventure? A campigan? I guess a campaign? It is not full sandbox, as there is a prophecy at work pushing events to a conclusion. But there will be a lot of freedom within the confines of that story. |

I don't want to gimp the characters from the beginning because I want you to enjoy the game. The randomness of chargen is meant to be The Prophecy at work choosing whom it will. But it will choose heroes, and that will be reflected by your stats. Anyway, I'd like 3-5 players. Maybe as many as 6. So there is enough interest to move forward. Daos, if you wouldn't mind creating a forum, I'll get the info up to start creating characters. |
