As Flynn's breathing stabilizes, Alonzo relaxes a little. He looks up at Daos and Qurrak in gratitude. A thousand thanks to you both. He wouldn't have made it without you. I am eternally grateful. He gently props up Flynn's head on his backpack and loosens his armor so he can rest easier, then cleans of Flynn's rapier, sheathes it, and puts it at his side. Finally, he recovers his own daggers, cleans them, and tucks them neatly away. We should rest a spell. Flynn's in no state to move, and most of us are wounded. We should bind our injuries and catch our breath before we move on.
{OOC} Recommending a short rest, since we're pretty beat down. Hit Dice roll if everyone agrees: P_au4Vwn1d8+3. Also, Gravity, I think you have my older character sheet before we all switched to the same roll set- Alonzo has 11 max HP. Haha that last 1 might be important! 1d8+3

"I have no objection to a short rest," Daos answers. "But I am curious about those wolves. Is wildlife usually so hostile in these parts? I've read wolves tend to only attack people when they are desperate or rabid."

Aerendyl vaer Tharandiir, Paladin of BahamutHP: 9 of 12 | AC: 15 | Perception: 12 | Insight: 12 | Inspiration: 0 Conditions: None.Aerendyl limped over, dark blood staining his leather breeches, he brace himself on Daos shoulder as he leaned over looking down at his fallen comrade. With great difficulty he lowered himself to the ground beside the young man, and began to intone in a low, deep bass, a language unfamiliar to most, a prayer to Bahamut, the Father of Dragons, Lord of the North Winds. And where his hand rested on Flynn's chest, a warmth radiated out, as the half elf's eyes fluttered open. Aerendyl nodded at the young bard. "He says it is not yet your time, he has heard your songs unwritten, and waits to hear them played by thine own hands."With difficulty, and leaning heavily on the haft of his polearm, he pulled himself to a standing position, and took a step away finding a spot where he could strip his armor, and check the mail for rents or tears, repairing what he could while maintaining his weaponry. He then turned his attention to the gash on his thigh, inspecting the wound, cleaning it, flushing it, and wrapping it gingerly. "Take what rest you can now, for we've a long road ahead, and many more dangers."{Out of Character Actions}OOC: Sorry for the delay, it's been a crazy week at work! Things are dying down now though, so I can catch up. I will use Lay on Hands on Flynn, healing him for 1 HP, so he auto stabilizes, leaving me with 4 HP's of healing remaining. I, too, suggest we take a short rest, as those wolves, literally, chewed us up! So I will use my one and only HD, rolling 1d10= 5;5p5BW1_11d10. 1d10

Flynn opens his eyes and looks around seeing numerous people concerned for his well being. Even in the pain he is in, Flynn can't help but crack a joke. "You weren't worried about me there were you brother? Ahem, thank you all, that... uh... I mean, adventuring, uh... seems to hurt worse than I expected."
OOC: "How much did I heal?"

Flynn winces as he responds to Qurrak. "For your fighting prowess, I'm in your debt as well. What say we..." the bard grimaces as he speaks, "what say we call it even?"

Qurrak has shook his head. 'Little doggies have defeated me. I am in shame. But I will fight harder! I will be worthy of those thanks!'

Once they are finished resting, Daos gets to his feet and dusts off his robes. "Well, we have a full day's journey ahead of us. Is everyone ready to continue?"

No one replies to Daos, but when he starts walking in the direction of Bandit's Cavern, they are quick to follow him. The party arrives as the sun begins to set.
Bandit's Cavern is overlooked by a large hill--a convenient vantage point to safely observe from. There are two men guarding the entrance, armed with scimitars and crossbows.

Flynn looks at the men cautiously before whispering to the group. "Do we try and talk to them, or do we do that old reliable 'bing, bang, boom?'"

Daos carefully examines the men from a distance. Did they appear calm and off guard, or vigilant and alert? Were they having a conversation? Could he learn anything useful about the way they are dressed or look?

A direct attack is risky. If we don't take them down right away or they see us coming, they could alert the whole gang. Maybe there's another way in?

The guards at the entrance seem strangely alert for criminals who don't realize their hiding spot has been uncovered. There doesn't appear to be another entrance outside of the main one.

Flynn strokes the beard on his chin. "Perhaps I could lure a few out? I'll tell them how happy I am I found some help for my cart of goods that broke a wheel a ways back. I'm surely the'll glad come out to rob er. I mean, help me, and we can waylay them. Sound agreeable?"

A good idea. You do make such a lovely damsel in distress, Flynn. The rest of us should set up to ambush.
