"Lady Escott was kidnapped. She was mistaken for Lady Joy Solan," she explains. "I went to go save her, but lost her trail, but thankfully she was found and brought back safely before anyone knew she was missing," she explains. "And getting married would would boost my reputation, but the man my father wants me to marry was just arrested."

"Lady Escott...was kidnapped?" Ingot repeats. "I had no...idea that...had happened. The count must...be keeping...the whole thing...under wraps...perhaps to...prevent pan...ic."
He adds, quite slowly, "What was he...arrested for?"

"Yeah, it is best to probably just keep it quiet," Ladonna says. "And there has been proof found the man that I met isn't actually who he says he is."

"What was this...proof?" Ingot asks. "Did you...need help in...investi...gating the...matter?"

"It looked like a birth certificate," Ladonna says. "And I think I'll leave the investigating up to the professionals," Ladonna says.

Before Ingot can respond, a voice calls out nearby. "Ingot! Over here, lad!"
Turning, Ladonna can see a small group approaching. It is none other than the Perrons, from Buho. Jacob the woodcutter and his two children, Lenk and Myra. "There you are, we've been looking all over for you," Jacob says. "Oh, Miss Marche. Sorry, I suppose that's Ser Marche now," he says, noticing Ladonna.

"What a surprise," Ladonna says with a smile. "I didn't expect to see you here in Hart."

"We decided to come up for the Harvest Festival this year," Jacob explains. "Had some trading to do anyway. Plus, I thought it would be a good chance to speak with Ingot about his and Myra's upcoming wedding." He gestures to his daughter. Myra, now 16, has grown a bit since Ladonna last saw her. She still doesn't terribly enthused at the idea of marrying Ingot, though. She avoids looking at him directly, although Ingot himself just sort of stares at her stoically.
"You will attend, won't you, Ser Marche? We were hoping to hold it back in Buho this spring, after the snows of winter melt," Jacob continues.

"I will try to make sure my duties allow it," Ladonna says. "And since you are here to catch up with Ingot, I will take my leave. Enjoy the festival!" With that said, Ladonna says her goodbyes, and goes to search for Sidhanar.

Leaving Ingot to deal with things on his own, Ladonna finds Sidhanar walking back toward the keep. He keeps looking up at the sky, which grows darker by the hour, as if to reassure himself that Ruse is not coming out tonight (which it shouldn't, it's currently new).

Ladonna looks up at the sky, then back to Sidhanar before she finally says. "I don't think you have to worry tonight."

Sidhanar starts slightly, then upon noticing her, chuckles a bit and nods. "Yes, I suppose so. Old habits die hard."

"I think that is the first time I've seen you laugh," Ladonna notes with a smile. "Have you enjoyed yourself today?" she asks.

"I have," Sidhanar admits. "It was a brief reprieve from the unpleasantness of late." He shrugs. "Was there something you needed to speak with me about?" he asks.

"No, not especially," Ladonna admits. "I just didn't get the chance to spend some time with you today " she admits. "It has been oddly busy. But Unfortunately, I can't stay long this time either."
