"All mortals? Is that what the Son of Crizza claims, my froggy friend?! There are certainly mortals keen to obey laws and being ruled by kings and priests. In fact, many would say that describes where I'm from."
"The people of this island, however, are famous for refusing any laws that they don't like and they choose their own leaders. So if your intention was to strike a blow against order, you picked one of the least orderly islands anywhere to make an example of. In fact, you could only have made a worse choice if the Son had unleashed you on Mond. That place is a madhouse - no laws, no rulers, every man for himself. They say it makes everyone equal, but of course it mostly means that the strong can oppress the weak as they like," Imrich says.
"Come to think of it, Mond sounds like your kind of place. Perhaps you'd like to go there if Hashadeth - this island - isn't to your liking?" he mentions in an off-hand manner.

"Can you incubate sheep or cows?" Senllip suddenly asks. "If so, you can have farm of those, incubate them, then when your offspring... err... crawls out I assume... you can roast the meat and have a celebration. No one will object that I think, and you can have prosperous life. Investing your time in education for example."

Kalana and Jaeron Kalana manages to keep the rod away from the slaad. Jaeron tries to cast a spell on it, but it just shakes it off. Give now, it mentally projects, holding out a claw expectantly. No want to hurt, but will.

"Jaeron, the door is free! Get out!" Kalana yells at the gnome in exasperation as she watches the gnome try to tackle the slaad. Though, it is a distraction, either way, she she tries again to pry the board off the window.

"Now really isn't the time for noble sentiments," Kalana says in frustration. She was already taking matters into her own hands, so now since Jaeron was trying to tackle the slaad, she decides to try to use that as a distraction to run for the door to get out of the room, curtain rod in hand.

Jaeron, the 3'7" gnome, attempts to tackle the 8' tall slaad, to little avail. He throws himself at the creature's leg, and just gets swatted aside. Kalana hurries to the door, and the slaad pursues. It then tackles her to the ground, wrappings its legs around to keep her pinned.
==============
Jaeron attempts to attack the slaad [TH 12] (1d20): 8, fail. Kalana moves to the door. Slaad tries to wrestle Kalana [TH 10] (1d20): 13, hit with leg lock. Kalana is pinned and takes 1 non-lethal damage. zLG0nkI31d20
(OOC: Let's go ahead and roll initiative. Kalana is currently in a hold; to break free, she needs to make a successful attack or get help from someone. Otherwise, she cannot move and she takes damage each round.)

Kalana and the slaad continue to wrestle. She manages to break free of its grip, and it tries to tackle her again. This time, she's ready and manages to sidestep it. Meanwhile, Jaeron approaches the door while the creature is busy. He discovers right away it is locked. However, it is locked from the inside. It is an inn room, after all. After he unlocks it, he pushes it open easily enough. ============== InitiativeKalana (1d10+3): 1+3 = 4 Jaeron (1d10+3): 3+3 = 6 Slaad (1d10+6): 1+6 = 7 Round 01!Kalana lashes out, managing to elbow the slaad in the face. It's not very hard, but it's enough to get it to lose its grip on her. Jaeron unlocks the door and opens it. Slaad attempts to wrestle Kalana back to the ground [TH 10] (1d20): 4, miss. The creature says to Imrich, Where you from, many laws? Would rather go there. Can make more chaos in place with not much chaos. What name of place? Imrich laughs again. "Gunn, I'm from an island called Gunn. But I really wouldn't recommend you trying your luck there. It's ruled by a great wizard and his henchmen, and they brook no challenges to their authority. Even if you get there, you can count on being torn limb from limb within moments if you cause any trouble." "Anyway, the only way to get there is by boat, and you don't have one, am I right? Swimming is an even worse idea than going there in the first place. It's far away and in case you didn't know, there's a war going on beneath the waves. You'll be killed long before you ever get there." "If I were you, I'd face up to the fact that you and your "brothers" are going to be trapped here, in this inn, until the people of this island tire of your presence. They're organizing as we speak, you know. Eventually they'll be back on their feet and if you stick your noses outside you'll be slaughtered out of hand. And of course, if you keep capturing people to infect with your offspring, they're going to come to the conclusion that your presence here is just too dangerous to wait. They'll probably torch the place with everyone in it just to be rid of you."

Senllip and Imrich The slaad doesn't seem terribly perturbed at Imrich's prophecy of doom. If burn down inn, you all die. But slaadi return home. Slaadi cannot die. Will wait for eggs hatch, then leave. Either way, you die. Slaadi live.
