Drezden to Malavar "Uh what are you doing Mal? You do realize you are being drenched by a strange indoor rain cloud."

"Very droll, Drezden," Malavar replies curtly. "I am the victim of childish prank by the builder of this place. Unfortunately, I haven't asked Helm for the power to break such enchantments today, so I suppose I must suffer through it until the spell ends or until I am able to request the Lord of Battles to intervene."
"Why don't you go check out the remaining alcoves? You're a dwarf, you are least likely to be affected by any other minor curses, I think."

Drezden shrugs "Eh well if you say so I guess I'll check not sure what I would be checking for but I'll give it a shot." the ranger dwarf moves on to whatever is the next closest alcove not yet checked by Mal or K-Man.

Drezden moves to the next alcove (H) and examines the jar there. A carving of a skeletal humanoid appears on the surface of the jar. A cracked helm and rusty sword are all that the ghoulish figure carries. It makes no movement, but its ghastly appearance is bone-chilling. The face of the skeleton on the canister appears almost too real for comfort.

Drezden gets the creeps and moves to the next alcove and checks it.

Drezden moves to the next alcove (I) and finds the jar here is missing its lid. Peering inside, he sees moist, dark dirt that fills the container about one-third of the way.
Meanwhile, Kendrivel picks up the jar (G) and finds it quite light, as if it were hollow inside. He can freely move it to wherever he wants. He sets it down at the northeast point. Nothing happens.

"Beware, Kendrivel! Don't put any of the pots in the circle until we've come up with a solid idea of how they should be arranged. Who knows what traps might be unleashed if we just randomly place pots in the depressions."
"We need to investigate all the alcoves and then determine what the underlying pattern to the various images we've seen is."

Drezden scratches his beard and calls out "Eh this one's full of dirt and is missing it's lid."

Ah, yer all wet. How are we gonna learn anything if we don't try anything?
==== ok, so we have: fire/shield water/raincloud invisible vase (air?) earth (jar of dirt. anything in the dirt?) lightning/electricity
adventurers (one with sword) skeleton (with sword) fancy sword with runes and a note
others?

"I'm not seeing any particular pattern to any of these," Zedd admits.
=============
(OOC: There are two more. The one by Dallion (F) that hasn't done anything yet and then the only one that nobody has investigated (J).)

When Drezden approaches the final jar, a book appears where the golden vessel should be. The crumbling tome's ancient pages are brown and curled. The book is open, and he can detect a faint brown glow coming from the paper pages. Written on the pages are a mesmerizing array of glyphs and sigils that have a slight glow to them; it's complete gibberish as far as the dwarf can tell.
