A week has passed, and it is now early Onix. Already, the temperature has dropped and there has been some light snow, but nothing has really stuck so far. Consequently, everyone has to dress warmer than usual if they want to avoid being incredibly uncomfortable for this trip.
The past week has been fairly good for them both. Ladonna Marche finds that most people know her now as the runner up of the combat contest, instead of as a liar. It's not that they've forgotten her sin, though; there's just less emphasis on it. Her reputation is still much worse than it was when she first arrived in Hart a year ago, and considerably lower than Lillian's at this point. She has spent the past week in service to Lady Helen, but in her off-time has buckled down on her studies under Quill (who seems less worried now about being seen with her) and learned a thing or two in the process.
Lillian finds she is suddenly fairly famous, especially among music lovers, after outright winning the music contest. However, she has spent most of her downtime in the manor's library, studying Tardiff's legal history, and staying out of the public eye.
Lady Helen is spending the next three days with Lady Joy, which frees up Ladonna and Lillian to head over and inspect the small bit of land Ladonna was granted when she became a knight. Although she obtained it a year ago, and even tried to sell it at one point to the church, she's never actually been there before. According to Jonas, there are rumors the manor is haunted. Plus, the serfs who live there have not paid taxes for the entire year.
After eating breakfast and gathering their gear, Ladonna and Lillian leave the manor and head into the courtyard to await the others. They find Jonas is already there. The others have not yet arrived. "Ah, there you are," he says upon seeing the pair. Jonas is carrying his usual gear, including his battered old leather armor and the notched long sword on his hip, but he's dressed in warmer clothes, including a coat and scarf.

(It is Onix 5th, 10 AM. New spells can be chosen for the day.)
