Brax chimes in "More seasoned warriors makes sense ta me."

"Is that your plan?" asks Tiaru. "To try and break through the blockade and make landfall?"

"That is one idea," Kalana says. "Another idea is that we come at them from different sides," she says. "There is also the option of relying on the fact that Tethys is technically my husband, and he might just let me through."

"Or we can come flying on dragons! That will do... Anyone has any?" Senllip suggests daydreaming of the group riding pack of dragons.

"Ah, sorry, I left all my dragons in my other ship," Julak jokes.
Tiaru leans forward toward Kalana. "Are you suggesting this Tethys might surrender the island for you?"

"He wanted us to rule the island together before," Kalana says. "I don't think he would surrender it to me though. One thing about Tethys, I know for sure, is that he sincerely loved me. We did rule the island together before the Blue Lightning liberated Shadowshore. I did what I could to temper his sword during that time." Kalana leans back in her chair, and sighs a little bit. "I, oddly enough, got along well with him personally. He's so charming that it is almost hard to believe that he is this evil tyrant," she explains. "More than once, I almost forgot that he was an evil tyrant."

"So...what exactly are you hoping he'll do if you manage to reach landfall?" Saren asks, not following.

Brax merely listens and tries to hold back his mirth at the suggestion of riding in on dragons.

"I...I don't know," Kalana says. "I'm just grasping at vague ideas right now," she admits. "I don't know how to take on a dozen Gunn ships when we only have six."

"I think it is clear. If Kalana will be willing to rule tyrantly with Thetys he will let her live and I guess will enslave us and give us to her as present. If not, fierce love can change to fierce hate when it is not answered, so it will probably turn into war. If you can go alone, move his attention to some other far away location at the sea that 'requires his attention' promising to rule in his name in Shadowshore might be the only way to free your people peacefully, but he might send someone else, or detect the deceive." Senllip sums up the situation.
"My, my... Kalana the tyrant queen!" Senllip looks Kalana up and down. "I can picture that!" he says with a heartful lough and adds, "But only on customs festivities as we used to have in our village! Remember sister, how The Redcheeks brothers made this custom of giant one sitting on the other shoulders? That was hilarious! Especially after they got drunk!" He smiles together with his sister, "Well, to the point, I don't think your relation with Thetys will change much as you are not going to change your intention regarding freeing your people, and even if you sacrifice yourself, he will not leave the place peacefully.
We need to consider were are our advantages and use it to our benefit. Either if we can bottleneck the battleships to fight them one by one, or split our forces, some being distraction while others trying to take control over the land or anything like that. Is Thetys rule from a fortress? If we lure him to sea and take control over some ground on the island can it give us the advantage we seek?" Most of the questions are turned to Kalana as she knows the land and the waters around the island better than any other person in the room.

"Tethys isn't an simpleton," Kalana says. "If I was to return to say I was there to rule by his side, I'm pretty sure he would know it was some kind of ruse especially if I was to try to direct his ships somewhere else," she points out. "As for where he is staying, he is probably staying at the governor's mansion. It is where he stayed last time. He usually has anyone that openly opposes him locked up and killed right away."

Brax clears his throat "Ehem, well if he be such a simpleton how bout we just lure him inta a trap and take em out. Remove tha head from tha snake as tha sayin goes."

Kalana looks to Brax with confusion, then shakes her head. "I said he wasn't a simpleton," she says. "But luring him out might work if he knew it was me," she says. "It is doubtful he would leave Shadowshore unprotected, so he wouldn't bring his whole fleet."

Brax cleans the gunk from his ears with his pinky finger "Eh? Oh, sorry admiral, heard yah wrong. Guess I ain't cleared tha adventures outta me ears lately. But still simpleton er not yah think we can lure 'im inta a trap?"

"If we can somehow capture their leader, it would give us a tremendous advantage," Saren agrees. "It might even allow us to win without fighting their fleet. Because let's be serious here, if we fight, even if we win, the casualties will be staggering."
"The question, though, is how we do that," Tovan adds. "I very much doubt this Tethys fellow wanders around without heavy protection at all times. Even if he does, there's still the matter of reaching him through the Gunn blockade."
