"Well, we have a number of possible options now," Saren notes. "The question is, which plan do we go with?"

"If we choose the option of entering Shadowshore from the other side, it would probably take about two days to get to town," Kalana says. "We would be basically climbing a mountain, and going down the other side."

"So that is the plan you are choosing?" Julak asks. "What will you do when you reach the town then?"

Brax asks "Alright, hold up a minute. Anyone got a map of Shadowshore? May be best if we look at a map first fore making any choices. Maybe we can figure out a better location that don't take two days of trekkin ta get there."

Everyone looks around the table and shrugs; apparently nobody here has any maps of the island. "Kalana is the one who knows the island best, so I imagine she's our best source of information," Julak points out.

"I don't have a map on me," Kalana says. "But it doesn't really matter where we land," she points out. "Those mountains slow things down," she explains. "Not to mention that many people are going to recognize me if I was to just march into town."

"Oh, because of the Villain of Shadowshore? I loved that play," says Saren's first mate, a human woman with short red hair named Flores. "Uh, not that that's...important," she says awkwardly after getting a few looks.
Saren sighs and shakes his head. "I feel we are just going in circles here. Perhaps we should retire for the night and try again in the morning."
"Maybe, but we can't stay here forever," Tiaru points out. "We have other commitments, not only of ourselves, but for our crews' sakes. If you're not able to make a plan, we might have to move on eventually."

"Actually, it kind of is important. I am the Villian of Shadowshore," Kalana points out to Saren's first mate. "And it could prove to be a useful distraction while Brax and Senllip sneak off to the docks to set them on fire or whatever," she says.

"So you're suggesting the three of you are dropped off on the other end of the island, travel through the mountains to reach the town, and then Kalana distract the occupying force while Senllip and Brax set fire to half their ships?" asks Julak for clarification.

"If we decide to go that route, then yes," Kalana says.

"Who will captain your own ships then, if you're on the island?" Saren asks.

Brax shrugs "Well, we got enough capable in our crews one of em could do it."

"Well, if this is your plan, we'll support you however we can," Julak says. "When do we sail? Tomorrow morning?"

"Sneaking as Manta Ray will be much faster and accomplish the same result. Don't you think? And I have heard no comment about the explosives... No one here has any?" Senllip agrees with the general idea the team is weaving but frowns upon having to climb mountains for two days without knowing what is going on with the rest of them. "Maybe Bayla, which is always a tremendous help to us, or other magicians if you have at your crews", he refers to the other captains, "can turn Brax and herself invisible, or maybe even someone who is better in sneaking, no offense" he apologizes to Brax, "and fly close to shore while I swim under water." while speaking his eyes lighten, "And if we turn to magic, maybe we can use magical fog to cover our ships while we use the catapults and ballistae to rain hell on their harbor. Also, if someone will create illusions that will distract the guards from the water line it will ease my own sneaking. It doesn't have to be an illusion of attackers, but could be of villagers celebrating, or nymphs giggling or a caravan of good trades and shiny weapons... anything that will make them stride few hundred meters from the ships..."
============================= (OOC: Sorry for throwing in new options instead of narrowing them down, but with the current plan most probably Brax and Senllip will be able to set fire to one ship and then get prisoners or die, while the fire will be extinguished quickly and alert the enemy that there is an attack coming. We need to make sure the fire is quick, strong enough and spread across a lot of area, together with real chaos or very low objection to make this work. Maybe burning the sails will be better option in delaying the ships, using fire arrows. Any sabotage that can be done under water will be best I think. Maybe tie ropes from the ships to the reefs or rocks at the water... any idea that can delay at least some of the ships + fog as defense to our ships may be enough.)

"We don't have mages powerful enough for any of that," Kalana says to Senllip. "Going on land isn't the best idea either. It is best to deal with this on the water. We are stronger when we are all together. Maybe I am overthinking this," she says. "Our two strongest ships are the Tirau and the Lleiset. Our two weakest ships are the outfitted cargo ships," she says. "That would put Saren and my ship somewhere in the middle when it comes to power. I've seen the Tiaru take on three ships at one time, not easily, but it has been done. I assume the Lleiset has the same capabilities, so those two ships should be Our main attacking force," she explains. "When it comes to our weaker ships, I would suggest hit and run tactics. If you see our stronger ships having a rough go of it, then sail in there, pound the enemies with what you can, and then sail away as fast as you can. As for Saren and I, Saren is probably going to be there mostly for support, like healing and the like. That leaves me as a bit of a wild card. I can go in and help whomever needs the most help. Honestly, if we had just one more ship, 4 of us could take on three ships, Brax and Senllip could protect Saren and they could also do their hit and run tactics when needed. Before leaving for Shadowshore, I suggest sailing to the Storm Sorcerers to hire a ship from them. Having all that magic on our side would really help."
Kalana takes a deep breath at this point. "That plan keeps us all together. I can't make any promises that it will woek, but sometimes the simplest solution is the best. No more suggestions, or anything like that. Let's just stick to this method, set sail tomorrow, and hope Octhanus is on our side."
