Brax decides to chime in again wiping his finger off on his pants and acting like it is nothing odd about it "Well I'm thinkin there might be only a few folk on our fleets that might be able ta do just that one be the admiral, kinda doubt he'd stop his former fiancée from passin through. Maybe Sen ere can sneak his way in dunno but him er our flyin friend there might be able ta do it. Maybe me since I ain't really known to them Gunn folk and am a bit of a wanderer. I lived in Deimos an was born in Vaneil, doubt any really know me by name in Gunn."

"I was one of his personal guards before the marriage," Kalana says. "So he has guards. Either way, I don't know if he views me as a traitor or not," she admits. "He fled when the Blue Lightning liberated Shadowshore last time. He could have very well thought I stayed behind to cover his retreat," she admits. "If that is the case, I might be able to get through the Gunn blockade, but to lure him out would take some doing on my part. Does everyone know that the Blue Lightning only consists of two ships now?" she asks.

"Continuing your line of thought, Kalana, What if we let a rumor get to his ear that you were captured by the Blue Lightning and that a small group of it sails this way to surrender you to, I don't know, say, Serenity authorities for example, and then he will probably be provoked to come himself with several ships to save you leaving the blockage behind, but as you said he will separate some ships to guard the shores, and this may even our forces... In such case, if he would believe that his precious wife didn't betray him and is in danger, he will be careful with his firing not to kill you by mistake, I hope... and lastly if you can find a course that will seem to him that he can ambush us, while we will actually ambush him, that would be perfect and may even tip the scales in our favor. If we could get help of the mermen we met in the past it might seal the deal completely." Senllip lifts up the ale to his lips letting the ideas sink while murmuring almost unheard, "Or ride dragons of curse..." and sips deeply. ==================================================================== (OOC: Is there any chance to locate underwater creatures to recruit for our cause? Sirens, sea trolls and fungos are excluded I suppose )

"Gunn is well aware of the destruction of the Blue Lightning," Tiaru points out. "That's why they re-invaded Shadowshore. They knew nobody was left to stop them. They would not have tried again if they thought the Blue Lightning still existed."
============
(OOC: Possibly, but considering that the merfolk are embroiled in their own war, they might not be willing to offer precious manpower for a battle that has nothing to do with them.)

Brax "Hmm, well ain't much more we can do, Though I s'pose Blue lightnin' now has five ships if yah count us three." he indicates Kalana, Sen and his own ships & crew. "But if we be needin' more, maybe I could sail fer both me homelands and seek allies there." he offers.

"The longer we wait, the more of a foothold he is going to have in Shadowshore," Kalana points out to Brax. "All of the people I have gathered are friends that I have made, I use to work under, or previous members of the Blue Lightning. Only one, maybe two," she says, looking to Julak and Toven pointedly, "know the whole story as to why this is so important to me aside from Shadowshore being my home and my family is there. I just don't think there is anyone else that would be willing to take on a Gunn fleet."
Looking back to Senllip, she sighs. "Tethys knows that I'm alive," she says. "When we were captured by those slavers, I used the fact that I was his wife to try to help us get out of that position," she explains. "I'm fairly certainly that the captain at the time was able to get word out to Gunn because I remember him saying that Tethys was on his way," she explains. "That is why I believe that this recapturing of Shadowshore has something to do with me. As for getting the mermen to help, that would be great except that there is a whole war being waged under the waters," she points out.
"Assuming that Tethys is doing the same as he did the last time he was on Shadowshore, six ships will be patrolling during the day, and the whole fleet would be out at night," she says. "If I recall, the Blue Lightning attacked during the day, without warning. Is there a way we could delay the docked ships from joining the battle?" she asks.

"Maybe we can set the docked ships on fire... That will keep them from sailing and joining the other six. Maybe I can try and sneak and do that, or maybe I can get help from the thieves guild..."
=============================
(OOC: Does the thieves guild has branches on shadowshore as well? Or where we are now?)

"I remember," Tiaru says with a nod. "I was there when we liberated Shadowshore the first time."
"As was I," Julak adds. "We didn't have any means to delay the ships, though; they saw our fleet coming, of course, and had time to mobilize as we were fighting the first wave. But it didn't matter, as we had the numbers to overwhelm them."
Tiaru nods. "It's rather difficult to conceal a fleet's approach. As soon as they realize we are approaching, they'll mobilize as fast as they can."
==============
(OOC: Shadowshore might have a thieves' guild, but it would have no direct association with the Midnight Brawlers here in Tu'Valie. Each island has its own thieves' guilds that are independent of each other.)

"Yeah... unless you want to shoot me from the catapult. Put the new equipment to some usage!" Senllip says with a smile. "Do you think we can sneak with one boarding ship at night? I could also use the Manta Ray cap to get to shore undetected I believe, but then there will be two issues, one getting to the ships, still undetected and two setting them on fire simultaneously..." Senllip thinks aloud with the others. "On the other hand, maybe I don't need to set all ships on fire, just Thetys ship. This may cause enough mayhem trying to figure out what's going on on shore and distract their attention from the sea to give you some surprise advantage." Senllip says, waiting to see if the others thinks it is a good lead and can hone the idea to perfection together.
============================================== (OOC: trying to unfold it as a in game conversation, but I might forget... if there are some means of explosives, Senllip can come undetected as Manta Ray from the sea, put the explosive under boarding ship that is close to the hull and swim back or far enough from the explosion... If such equipment is available he can even put few explosive on few different ships.)

Brax thinking out loud "Hmm what about a back way? Ain't there some other way ta get there that ain't gonna put us in thier line o' sight? Like us dwarves we always got secret backways in an outta our holes." that last part he says using finger air quotes knowing plenty of surface dwellers call dwarf homes holes.

"I suppose it might be possible to approach the island from the back, and land there, trudging through the wilderness to reach the town," Julak says. "But it would mean leaving our ships behind, and it wouldn't eliminate the danger of the fleet blockading the harbor."

"Using the cover of night isn't going to be that useful when the whole fleet is out of the docks at night," Kalana says. "It would have to be done during the day so that the ships that are docked are affected,"
