"You're very welcome," Lillian says. "I take it you're not fond of the Sergeant?"

"No, nor him of me," Henna admits. "Liked to rub my failure in my face, but now I don't need him anymore. Or his crummy pay."

"What an unpleasant man," Lillian says, shaking her head. "How did he even get the position?"

"That is where Relken is meeting his new bride," Ladonna says. She bows her head to Sadduce Winters, and takes her leave to go to the docks.

Ladonna Ladonna makes her way to the river dock, and sure enough, she spots Voltera speaking with Relken and surprisingly, Jonas. Both men appear half way between confused and upset. Ladonna also notices a riverboat making its way to the dock from the west, apparently coming from the capitol.
Lillian "Nepotism, probably," Henna answers. "But he's no concern of mine any more. Thanks, again."

"Why is my father here?" Ladonna asks herself before she composes herself and approaches the group. "Sadduce Sern, I was told I would find you here," she says pleasantly. "I wasn't expecting to meet my father here though. Is something else going on other than the news of the marriage being canclled?"

"And again, you're welcome," Lillian says, bidding her goodbye. From there, she considers where to go next. Perhaps to the Elven quarter of the city? There may be interesting people to talk to, there.

Ladonna "Oh, perfect timing," Voltera says, turning to Ladonna. "Welcome, Ser Marche. You're just in time for the reunion." She steps up very close to Ladonna, and whispers to her very quietly, "Don't worry, I've taken care of everything. It's all back on track." Then out loud, she says, "Oh, here it comes now."
Before Ladonna can question her further, the riverboat arrives. As soon as it's docked, several people begin to disembark. One of them looks familiar to Ladonna. He's in his mid thirties with red hair and blue eyes. He's quite well dressed, almost like a noble, and he's sporting several golden rings that sparkle in the sun. It takes her a few moments to place him--it's Stenn Syndrig, the Deteris merchant who was one of her sister's suitors in the previous timeline.
There's a well-dressed woman at his side, her arm wrapped around his own. She looks to be a bit older than him, with blue eyes and blonde hair that has been beautifully styled. Her makeup, jewelry and low-cut dress make her look half her age, so that it takes a couple of minutes before it hits Ladonna that she recognizes this woman. It's her mother, Amanda!
Lillian It's been just over a year since the last time went out into the town. All the movers and shakers live in the castle; in the town are the more simple, common folk: Laborers, craftsmen, fishermen, farmers, merchants and the like. The elven quarter is much the same, although with considerably more elves involved. She walks the streets of the elven quarter, watching the locals go about their day. They run errands, shop, and work. They pay Lillian little mind, as she blends in rather well.

~What do you mean everything is back on track?~ Ladonna mentally screams as she tries to quickly assess the situation. Before she can grasp the situation though, Stenn was standing right in front of her along with her mother. The very mother that she didn't even get along with, but she still felt the need to look for her once she stepped into this timeline. Now she was standing in front of her next to Stenn of all people. Her mouth kind of drops open a little bit in shock before it dawns on her that the Sadduce just said that everything was back on track. ~My sister is alive,~ she thinks to herself. Though, until she actually sees her sister, she focuses instead on her mother. "...Mother?" she asks softly in disbelief. In this timeline, Amanada abandoned her with Jonas. While Ladonna wasn't raised in this timeline, she could only imagine the type of emotions she should be feeling upon seeing her mother for the first time in years. She looked to Jonas for a moment to see how he was handling this situation.

Ladonna looks over to Jonas. He just looks terribly confused, and doesn't seem to recognize Amanda at all until Ladonna calls her 'mother.' Then he does a sort of double-take, and his jaw nearly drops to the ground. Amanda has clearly lived a good life; she looks nearly half her age, is wearing fine silks and jewelry, and more makeup than Ladonna has ever seen her wear ever.
Amanda, for her own part, looks equally bewildered, until recognition finally sets in. "No...it can't be. Ladonna? You...you're all grown up!" She lets go of Stenn and within a couple of bounds has leapt down the gangplank, holding up the hem of her dress so she doesn't trip over it, and upon reaching Ladonna, throws her arms around her. "Oh, my little girl! I've missed you so much! What are you doing in Hart, of all places?" She hugs her tightly, as if afraid Ladonna will just vanish if she lets go.
Stenn raises an eyebrow, looking a bit confused. Voltera, on the other hand, looks so pleased with herself she resembles the cat that caught the canary.

Lillian takes a moment to absorb the sights and sounds, and all the people going about their day. After that, she finds one of the Elven taverns, the Last Tree, and enters it to get a drink.

The Last Tree is a simple tavern, not all too different looking than any other Tardish tavern, save that it is full of elves. At this hour, there are a few patrons eating breakfast and discussing their plans for the day. The place seems to be run by an elven couple and their three grown children. The mother tends the bar, the father tends the kitchen, and the children wait tables.

Come to think of it, Lillian hasn't head breakfast yet. Heading to the bar to speak to the mother, she asks "What sorts of food do you have for breakfast, here?"

"Beans, toast, mushrooms, tomatoes, potatoes, bacon, eggs, and black pudding," the elven woman replies. "Can get you a plate of a little bit of all of 'em, if you want."

Ladonna isn't exactly sure what to do at this point. She stumbles a little bit once her mother hugs her, but she is able to retain her balance, and she cautiously returns her hug because it didn't seem like Amanda was letting go anytime soon. This was not the Amanda she was use to dealing with. The mother she knew would have never done something like this, so the fact that she was hugging her was confusing. "Uh," she stammers. Normally, she was a well spoken person, but she couldn't find the words on what to say or even do. "Father and I have been in Hart for awhile," she finally says lamely.
