Daos, When it comes to gaining favor with the Gods...how overt or covert do actions need to be? Jherek fid a few things, I'll PM the particulars during my lunch break, that I feel should warrant a shift in one direction or another. I think all those goals are still important...though parents could be expanded to be family. It would now include Katya.
Now that the idea of marriage has been floated in a much more serious manner...pleasing Hedra, convincing him that the coupling of Jherek and Katya is a good one.
Coming clean to some of his close friends about his life out in the woods, his faith.
A chapter relevant goal would be checking on those boys, girls, men and women he considers friends out in the woods.

[Reasoning behind why it worked] Okay, I'll admit I hadn't examined it all in that kind of depth. Katya sure is one devious paladin, to have thought through how to manipulate Jherek so expertly. No wonder Crizza picked her ...and at this rate, we might never get to see her fall...where's the fun in that?? Also, Daos: last minute change-up. I'd like to switch my vote for Coha over to a vote for Damon. It seems I've got to accept that neither Nuke nor GravityEmblem is going to let me buy their votes with Theron favors (and they were going to be such good favors, too!). Maybe you've already made up your mind about which henchmen are coming with us, but on the off-chance you haven't...might as well keep things as interesting as possible

It sort of depends. I don't really have any hard rules for it, it's more of a case-by-case judgment thing. I don't recall Jherek doing anything really that significant, but I might have missed something. Six PCs are a lot to track for not just XP, but prestige, divine favor, and so forth. So if you think I missed something, go ahead and let me know.
Still waiting on Nuke, but I might go ahead and put up chapter 4 later today anyway, even if he hasn't rolled for HP yet.

If Nuke was making choices about character progression I'd be more hesitant; you don't want to give him more information than he'd have anyway to sway what he picks. But he's just got to roll a dice. Having started the next chapter won't affect that at all.

I'm really not use to seeing so many people so excited about a game that they are urging the DM to post as soon as possible.

It is a very good game...all the PCs are interesting and well motivated! Makes for excellent reading and thought exercise.

Posted that quick. Probably gonna edit it. After a 3 hour car trip. Just gonna expand the narrative.
Finished the edits. Apologies. My ex's car broke down...I had to drive 4 hours round trip to get my kiddos!

I'm glad we get to take Garnet and Ingot along with us -- they both seem like such sweethearts (in contrast to that evil halfling!). Maybe we should encourage Myra to get her folks to call off the wedding, and see about setting Garnet and Ingot up with each other? Eh...anybody?? Wouldn't they make the cutest couple in Buho (right up there with Damon and Tavos)?

It seems unlikely. Myra is the daughter of a councilman and Garnet is a gnome. So I can't see Ingot's parents wanting to go for that.
But even ignoring that, Ingot is 6'0" and Garnet is 3'6", so she comes up to his waist. That'd be...weird.
Oh, and while I was in the shower this morning, getting ready for work, it suddenly hit me that I never replied to this:
Sorry about that.
When the party leaves Buho, their prestige score will reset. But not entirely. Certain modifiers will remain (like for race or being in the clergy) while others will not (for instance, nobody in the new town will know Theron was accused of thievery, so that modifier won't apply). Also, some of the prestige you earned in adventures will carry over, but not all. People will have heard of you to some extent ("Hey, you're the guys who stopped the goblin war, right?") but you won't be seen as local heroes anymore. You'll have to earn that back.
So basically, I'll recalculate your prestige again and we'll move from there.
Carrying out the mission exactly as Ser Walls says isn't necessarily what affects how much prestige is acquired. After all, they disobeyed her entirely in the first quest (she told them to just scout out the farm; she never mentioned tracking down the goblins). However, the way things are done can affect how much prestige you are awarded. Usually there is a fast and easier way of doing things, which rewards less prestige and a more difficult way, which rewards more.
The amount of prestige you gain or lose can be determined by how much you already have. For instance, let's say Ryan was caught picking someone's pocket. Because of his station and high prestige, people would be shocked and appalled by this. He might lose 6 or 7 points just from that one act. But if Theron was caught, he'd probably only lose 2 or 3 points, because his prestige is already low (people expect him to act that way, so it's less of a surprise).
