Gribben- Staking out the tree is the only way we know enters there lair. If you know where there lair is we will go there. Ambushing them at the tree is not wise. We need to get at them in there lair so that they never return.

Drezden thinking for a moment out loud "What we need is a druid...."

"As we cannot walk into trees, we will need to reach their lair through other means," Tren says. "Hence why you should go to the Eyrie. I'm certain that's where this curse started from. A druid would be useful, if any of you know of one, but I do not. They usually live out in the wild, not in towns."

Drezden "Same can be said for these odd creatures causing it, normally they aren't seen in towns or cities."

"All the more reason to believe they are coming from somewhere outside of the town," Tren concludes. "The Eyrie is the most logical place. Now then, I recommend you spend today preparing for the venture. Purchase any supplies you need, hire any outside help required, and then first thing in the morning, head to the Eyrie. You said the path leading to it collapsed, but I'm sure you can find a way around that."

"Guys you do realize that while waiting for those night dwarves to go to the tree, they will have used the Net of Dreams to drain more people's life forces.", Maria adds, concerned of the spread of the disease continuing while it can be stopped, "If we at least confront those dwarves we can capture or kill them and take the net, therefore they cannot use it anymore to spread the disease."
"I remember reading somewhere that the net of dreams was created by a mage who has long been lost. Being lost does not necessarily dead but missing. If that means anything. Sir is there any history of the Eyrie that includes mages or any kind of spellcaster?", she asks Tren.

Tren turns his attention to the young girl. "And who are you, exactly?" he asks. "In any case, I am no historian. I am not even from this area. I couldn't tell you the history of the Eyrie. I just know what I've heard from the locals--that the dwarves left a curse behind when they abandoned it."

Drezden "Lets find that part out then shall we, so long as blame is not on me and Gimak we aren't from the Eyrie. At any rate I am happy to help stop this illness these odd night dwarves are causing."

"My name is Maria and I am a mage.", Maria answers. She does not give her full name for fear of giving her history in the process.

"That's interesting," Tren says. "There was a man here a couple of weeks ago looking for a child mage. What was his name again? Shamar something, I believe. You wouldn't happen to be the child he was searching for, would you?"

Drezden clears his throat "Not to interrupt sir I also wanted to inform you that on our way into the town we managed to take down a goblin gang that was hitting folks up for a toll to enter your fine city."

"No.", Maria said immediately trying her best to keep her emotions in check. She waits for Tren to respond to Drezden.

Tren looks about to ask a follow-up question, but he is once again distracted by Drezden and loses his train of thought. "Oh, you did? Well, the town thanks you for your service. If there is nothing else, you are all dismissed. I have a town to run, after all."

Drezden nods and gets up from the seat. "Very well sir. I believe we have a deal. I'll take up no more of your time." the dwarf will motion to the others to take their leave with him, and leaves the constables office.
