The downside of playing a character that broods all the time is, well, brooding all the time

Excellent choices, Snacs. Looks like you're getting back up to speed with 2nd edition just fine

Excellent choices, Snacs . Looks like you're getting back up to speed with 2nd edition just fine In any edition fun spells are fun spells ...Though I can't seem to find where to figure out how many spells I can cast per day . :/ As to an update, I'm pretty much done? I have another WP or two to take, and equipment purchasing, but otherwise my IC post is getting worked on starting now-ish and should arrive sometime tonight/tomm. <3

There's a chart in the PHB under mages that shows how many spell slots a day you get. Table 21, I believe.

Check out Table 21 in Chapter 3 of the PHB, under the wizard character class description (I'd offer you page numbers, but I currently only have access to the PDF). If your character is a specialist, he or she gets an extra spell per day for each spell level they have access to, but that spell has to belong to their specialized school. EDIT: Wow, Daos beat me to it, and apparently has the table numbers memorized as well! I totally had to look it up

I remember Jherek Everfull telling us to take a +1 weapon in addition to our starting gold, but I cannot find where he said that and I'm a little worried I just hallucinated it now.

Oof, only 2/1 per day is rough.:/ I also beat my head against a wall for an hour until I realized 2E doesn't consider strength when comparing composite longbows and normal longbows-something every later edition does to differentiate the two .

I remember Jherek Everfull telling us to take a +1 weapon in addition to our starting gold, but I cannot find where he said that and I'm a little worried I just hallucinated it now. That was definitely part of the deal -- if I remember correctly, we get a choice of starting with either a +1 weapon or +1 armor, in addition to our starting gold and the 2,000 XP worth of Wonderous Items. Woot, thank you. Found it. Oof, only 2/1 per day is rough. :/ Heh...that's Vance, baby! Gotta love those soul-searching moments when you pull out your spellbook in the morning and ask yourself, "Which spells am I really going to need today?"
