I found it. It was in the recruitment thread. Well, that's what you get for multi-classing. The main difference between composite longbows and regular ones is range. It is possible to get bows that take into account strength modifiers, though. Unless you have exceptional strength, they cost the same as any other bow (otherwise cost x3 as much).

Apparently I forgot to roll for hit points?

I left my notes about this character scattered across two threads. It's a mess. I'm throwing it all onto a Mythweavers sheet now.1d6·1d6·1d6·1d6

The reason they're different and statted the way they are is because prior wargames also had weird, wonky differences between composite and regular bows. In 3.5E and later editions they shifted the strength bonuses on to composite bows only, probably to simplify and balance since the strength-to-damage/attack is way higher in 3.5+

Yeah, there are lots of rules that are old throwbacks to when the game was a miniature wargame. Like, allegedly the reason elves are immune to a ghoul's paralyzing touch comes from there.

I went to do my equipment and... Am I reading that right that black powder is 10 gold per shot? I might need to switch over to a crossbow.
I am not emotionally prepared to retool my entire character tonight. It will have to wait for morning.

Yeah, guns are expensive. Even more so in core 2E rules, where gunpowder is a magical item called smokepowder, and thus it cannot be bought at all in stores.

Let it be known that I already ship Sebastian/Ophelia.
One is a cute, homesick cleric of knowledge and the other is a 19-int half-succubus wizard with a highly religious upbringing. Their children will be adorable and also speak 4 languages before their fourth birthday.

Oh, so here is Ophelia's sheet for posterity, it's mostly done . AFAIK all I have left is to buy more misc. equipment/stuffs to flesh out possessions and putting in more fluff. I also haven't decided on a second Kit yet, if i want one. EDIT: Can I also just state that the Swashbuckler's Special Hindrance may be my favorite thing in 2E ever?

Their children will be adorable and also speak 4 languages before their fourth birthday. I love it! Hard to see it happening at present though...poor old Sebastian is so shy he can hardly bear to look at her, much less speak to her! They do both have an element of naivete to their respective personalities, though...a coupling between them could actually make sense at some point. Also Snacs -- I really like what you did with Ophelia's backstory! The whole "half-succubus sired by a paladin, torn between parents" thing is really creative, and her swashbuckler disadvantage promises to get us into heaps of exciting trouble!

Oh. Daos , I'm assuming that last action in your post is a whisper/spoiler to Jherek Everfull ? If so I can see it when quoting your post Weird. *getting used to proboards intensifies*

Are you saying you can see that there is a whisper, or that you can actually read what's in the whisper? Because if the latter, that's a pretty notable flaw in the app.

Because if the latter, that's a pretty notable flaw in the app. I cannot see it on the actual post while viewing the thread, but if I choose 'Quote' on your post, the whisper shows up so that I can see it and read it. Like I couldn't see this whisper here in the thread, but if I picked 'Quote' it would show this text box even if you only addressed it to knightsfalltoo.

Okay, I've updated the Whisper Tags app. Supposedly, this will solve the problem.
EDIT: Well, this has actually created a new problem. Dice commands no longer work in whispers.
