Once behind the rock, Daos quickly takes a look at the area. Is the orc armed, and if so, how? Does the orc have any markings or sigils to indicate they belong to the Lun-Chu tribe? Do the tracks they are following lead toward the cave or continue elsewhere?

Bayla rolls one of her massive shoulders. She's not so much for the sneaky stuff, or for the magic-stuff, but her companions seem to be. She'll let them try their approach and, if they fall flat, her specialties make for a solid Plan C.

The orc does, in fact, have a shield with the Lun-Chu insignia on it, all but confirming his affiliation with them. His spear is planted in the ground nearby, next to the tracks, which lead away from the cave.
Meanwhile, Melvin brandishes a dagger. “Should we kill him outright, or wait until he wakes up?”

Daos thinks things over. "The tracks lead away from the cave, so this isn't the army's final destination. A waypoint, perhaps? Whatever it is, they felt it worth guarding, although not very heavily. Still, we don't know what's inside. I say stealth is our best course of action." He looks to the halfling. "Can you take him out silently? Bayla and I will remain here to back you up if things go south."

Bayla grunts in the affirmative.

Melvin stealthily walks up to the Orc guard, stabs him in the heart, killing him instantly, and gestures for his companions to follow him in.

Moving quietly, Daos approaches the cave and steps inside, relying on his keen elven vision to allow him to see.

Bayla tramps behind, last of the group and the least stealthy by far.

Within the cave is surprisingly little. A few animal bones and fruit seeds are scattered on the ground, a large, slightly loose-looking boulder rests in a corner, but other than that, nothing.

"Looks like an orc door stop" Bayla jests. She reaches out for the thing and hauls on it, attempting to roll it to one side.

With some effort, Bayla pushes the boulder out of the way, revealing a small treasure trove. A small pile of copper and silver pieces lies within, as well as a wheelbarrow full of produce and a weapon rack outfitted with two Javelins and an ornately carved Orcish battleaxe. Melvin immediately walks over to the latter and begins counting the coins.

"Hmm, interesting," Daos states. "So maybe it is some kind of waystation. A place to restock and store loot. I'm surprised it's not better guarded, though."

"Hey now" Bayla objects when Melvin squeezes past her to get to the coins.
"Don't you be pocketing anything, 'Night Fork.' All three of us came with the promise of coin. I mean to get paid, and probably Daos too." She does leave the Halfling to his work, though - instead reaching for that axe. She tests its heft experimentally.

In response to Daos, Melvin says, "They probably aren't used to having much of value in here. In fact, I doubt if they even use coins as a currency." He proceeds to continue his coin count finishing in due time; the total comes to 24 copper pieces and 13 silver pieces, both of which he fits in his belt pouch.
Bayla swings the Orcish axe, testing the weight and power, both of which are better than normal battleaxes. She can tell just by holding it that this was no normal weapon.

"Oh, I'm keeping this" Bayla announces with just a little more glee than appropriate. Her grin is dangerous.
