Hunner sigh "The gap between what people are supposed to do, and what people actually are doing is the cause of all sufferings in the world" he say. "But did ever heard of people giving up power, willingly? In this sense, I really see little diffrence between burrow dwarf chieftains to high elves buried in silk or self rightouse Solmanic Lords- they have grown accustemed to their power. In order to give it up, they must have something bigger in return- most realisticly, the chance not die from angry mob." Pause. "Honor-like the Oath and the Measure, is supposed to hold this mortal characterstic in check. Do elves have something similiar? Something other then their life they wouldn't risk losing?"

"Our peop--," Sorrith interrupts himself, then sadly says instead, "The Silvanesti are long-lived. They do not embrace change, of any kind, very quickly. Not like you short-lived humans," he tells Hunner.
After Ravarie heads belowdecks, Serinda stretches. "I think I'll go back to bed, too. Need my rest for my spells tomorrow. Kronn, you have the helm," she tells the kender first mate.
Kronn salutes. "Aye, aye, capt'n!"

"The Kagonesti are just as long lived," Ravarie points out. "And yet look at the change we have gone through."

Hunner laugh. 'It's not the life span itself... it's about fear.' The Takhisis's teachings slip through, but to him it just make sense. 'Humans sometimes change more quickly, because the threat of death is near, so they oblige quicker to this threat. Elves can be threated, As Ravarie said, the Kagonesti were threatened into bondage- in order to change that, we need to find what the elven nobility fear.'

"Uh, I don't think inciting fear is the way to go. That will only create hostilies," Ravarie points out.

"This is the only thing that motivate change. The fear of losing something. For us Knights it is the honor and dignity. Is there anything else?"

Something in Liala seems to snap, and she practically leaps at Ravarie. "You dare look your nose down at us, but this is entirely your fault! We could have had a chance to reclaim our home and our family name some day, but you took that away when you murdered Zoubent! Like some wild animal! Further, Gardor never would have been able to commit a coup, if Sorrith and I hadn't been sent after you. If you hadn't run away, none of this would have happened!" She is so agitated, that Sorrith has to hold her back, and he is clearly surprised by how much trouble he is having, as he is much stronger than his sister under normal circumstances.
Finally, Lalora goes a bit limp, as if the sudden outburst exhausted her. "We should get some rest," Sorrith says, leading her away to the stairs. She doesn't resist anymore, or say anything further.

Ravarie held her ground when Lalora leapt at her. She felt horrible for what she did, but she wasn't under the illusion that Sorrith and Lalora would be able to reclaim their house and name. She saw a completely different side of the Silvanesti than the two Silvanesti did. Though, there was so much she could say to counter Lalora, such as if the Silvanesti hadn't just taken over her homeland, and tried to work with the Kagonesti instead of enslaving them, then none of this would have happened. Though, this is what happened, and placing the blame on either one of them wasn't going to solve the problem at hand. "...I'm going to get some rest." Would she actually rest? Probably not, but she wanted to be away from people. More than anything, she wanted an animal by her side.

Ravarie descends to the lower deck, into the crew area where they've been staying. Lalora is already asleep in one of the hammocks. Sorrith sits at a table nearby, fingering the clasp of his cloak absently, staring off into space.

"...I'm sorry about your mother," Ravarie says softly as she approaches Sorrith. "And for what happened with the guards."

Sorrith glances at her, a bit distracted. "It all feels like a terrible nightmare. I keep feeling like I'm about to wake up in my own bed any moment now."

"I don't think there's any way to fix this," Sorrith says quietly. "Lalora and I...will have to come up with some kind of plan on what to do from here on out."
