CH. 08 - Once More With Feeling

Brax "Well darn, hmm lemme think a bit more Bayla. I dun wanna leave yah havin ta touch them things." the dwarf tries to think a bit more on what he can recall about undead creatures..... "I know typically cold don't do much of anythin to em...maybe wind, what else yah got Bayla?"

[Daos]

"Oh, I have lots of wind spells, but not any cold ones," Bayla says.  "I can make someone able to hold their breath longer, can conjure an invisible servant made of air, can summon a cloud of fog and a wall of fog, can filter out poisonous gas in an area, can let someone levitate or even ride the wind, can summon a poisonous gas cloud, and can even send secret messages on the wind."

"Well, couldn't you levitate yourself, then use your lightning spell?" Kalana asks Bayla curiously before looking to their healer. "I think your prayer would be useful. We don't know how many undead we are dealing with."

[Daos]

Bayla shakes her head.  "No, I'd still need to touch them to do it, and besides, I can fly already."

"Alright, so how many of those sun prayers should I prepare?" Auli'i asks.

[HorizonsDream]

"Two?" Kalana says.

[Daos]

Auli'i nods.  "I'll prepare two then, and healing for the rest."

"What about me, what should I do?" Bayla asks.

Brax suggests to Bayla "Well take one of them lightnin' spells, an I'd avoid tha poison spells undead don't appear ta be affected by such things if I recall. You able ta summon any other types of offensive things Bayla? If not maybe focus on things that might aid er protect yerself and us."

"Yeah, the lightning will probably be of use," Kalana says. "Maybe something for crowd control."

[Daos]

"Alright...I'll see what I can do," Bayla says.

[Bishgada]

When Senllip returns from visiting Athel, he gladly tells everyone that there are survivors from the guild, including Athel. He then tells about the idea or rebuilding the guild and that Athel will need the group help.
After good night sleep, on the breakfast meeting he says between mouthful bites, "We know that the priests can banish undead with their holy symbol. That is useful. And holy water... We need to get enough of that if we don't have many spells against undead. About the electricity touch... if you touch them with metal wire from afar, does it work as well?
Anyone, I heard that if we get hit by undead we can become undead as well, so I vote against running to the midth of them. Just their vanguard. Hit and run, or divide and conquer."

Brax "I don't plan ta get up close an personal with undead, I plan to be all pistol on em. I know like pretty much everythin' if yah shoot it in tha head it ain't usually gettin' back up. But if there be large numbers of em, best ta cut bait an run. Less we got a way ta corral em."

"We don't actually know how many we are dealing with," Kalana says to Senllip. "But it is important that they don't overwhelm us. Once we are done with the undead, we will look into your guild issue. If you guys need to buy anything, now would be the time to do it."

After Bayla and Auli'i prepare their spells, Brax stows his wheel-barrel in the ship, along with Kalana's and Senllip's chests, and the party is now ready to set out.

Kalana leads the group to where she was told the the problem undead were.

Brax follows Kalana, checking over his ammo and making sure everything is good to go.
