I didn't wanted to overwhelm you with stats and more stats. But Defence, Influence, dLands, Power, Wealth are points which you buy stuff with them.
Defence you buy towers, castles and etc.
Influence buy you heirs
Lands you buy towns, forests, rivers, shores, mountains and etc.
Power- Army units, and with enough power even a banner house.
Wealth- Maester, Market, Mine and etc.
And we didn't fluffed the houss yet

It's understandable that you don't want to overwhelm us with information. But right now, I feel a bit lost. Like...defense buys you towers and castles. Okay, but is that good? What does that do? Will that influence the game in any way? I have no idea. How does a game play if you have a port versus if you don't have a port? None of that stuff means anything to me. I don't have the necessary context to know what's important or why.
Oh, well. I don't want to hold things up. Guess I'll just be arbitrary and add my 1d6 to wealth.

Of course the nitty gritty details are also important. But you can have the general idea from the stats. Defence come into play if you are being attacked.
port opening naval and economic options . Influence represnt your ability to have children to send into positions of power. and so on.
in general it go of groups of tens. 11,21,31,41 and so on are the tresholds of greater levels then rhe previouse ones.
I guess we can get into the nitty gritty now, if having it would make the ideas easier for the house.
Defence are point buy for:
Superior Castle. Cost:50 benefit:+12 to an unit defending the castle.
Castle Cost: 40 benefit: +8 to an unit defending the castle.
Small Castle Cost: 30 benefit: +6 to an unit defending the castle.
Hall cost:20 benefit: +4 to an unit defending the castle.
Tower: Cost:10 benefit:+2 to an unit defending the castle.

As for foundation by scandal, to me it remind of the foundation legend of the real order of Garter in britian
"Various legends account for the origin of the Order. The most popular involves the "Countess of Salisbury", whose garter is said to have slipped from her leg while she was dancing at a court ball at Calais. When the surrounding courtiers sniggered, the king picked it up and returned it to her, exclaiming, "Honi soit qui mal y pense!" ('Shame on him who thinks ill of it!'),"(Quoted from wiki)

If I have time later tonight, I can do some posts about my experience playing the game to try and provide context for what we're doing now (generating our house), what sort of "adventures" I've been involved in, and some thoughts on characters. It would be a mix of describing the rules and play experience to provide context. Would that be helpful?
If anyone wants to get hold of the rules themselves, there's a site called The Trove where you can read or download a great many different RPG systems, including SIFRP. It's probably of dubious legality, but Green Ronin no longer produce SIFRP so reading or downloading it now won't impact their sales. If you do decide to browse, you want the Game of Thrones edition of the rulebook.

Crunchwise, to buy defences. fluff.. well. history and the general concept of the house, which we can use as a foundation to our characters

Before working on mechanics, I'd love to fluff out the House, maybe come up with a motto, and the rough idea of a crest.

Anyway else, I can help with that? Maybe we should start by picking a location? Maybe south east? So we have shore and pirates and interaction with Dorne? how does it sound?

Here's a map showing all canon houses in the Stormlands and their locations. Details (where they exist) are in the Campaign Guide. If we're going to be in the south-east, we'll be on Cape Wrath, the peninsula between the island of Estermont and the mountains to the west. It's dominated by the Rainwood and bordered in the south by the Sea of Dorne. If we want to be close to Dorne and perhaps have a port of our own, there's that nice little cove/bay south-west of House Mertyn (the grey shield with the owl). Or we could set up west of House Tudbury (the green shield with the tortoise in a yellow lozenge).
If we want to be closer to the court of House Baratheon, we could set up in the cove/bay west of House Rogers (the black shield with a silver circle in the middle and a bunch of silver unicorns around it, next to the castle named Amberly) on the northern coast of Cape Wrath. As for our house history, we could ignore the founding scandal for now and decide on where we stood in the most important recent event in history - Robert's Rebellion. Did we: 1. Side with Robert immediately. If so, why? 2. Side with the Targaryens to the bitter end. If so, why? 3. Side with the Targaryens first but later turned to Robert. If so, why? (examples of this include houses Fell, Grandison, and Cafferen) 4. Side with Robert at first but later turned to the Targaryens. If so, why? (as far as I know, there are no canon examples of this) 5. Manage to remain neutral throughout the rebellion, possibly siding with Robert at the end. Also known as "pulling a Lannister", it's extremely unlikely any Stormlands house did this, since that would mean betraying every power player in the rebellion.

Our "founding father" was a Targaryen loyalist of modest standing, either a landless knight or a son with no hope of claiming the title of his house. He married the daughter of another loyalist house who had conceived a child with one of the Blackfyre pretenders or perhaps their enabler Aegor Rivers. This was ostensibly due to rape. Thanks to the standing of her father's house, she was allowed to keep the child on the condition that she married our founding father. Together, they were allowed to found our house.
I really like the above, because it provides a division within the House itself, whether you are born to our Matron's 1st child, or to our Patron, so either Rivers blood, or Targaryen, though diluted. Plus it would tie into Rax's option 3, above. The part of the family who values our founding father's Targaryen claim, side with Aerys II, and remain loyal to their alliance with fellow Houses Fell & Cafferen who marched on Storm's End until Robert defeated them, then granted them leniency in exchange for their allegience and support during the Rebellion. Our House could be written into that note, siding first with our founder's Targaryen blood, before remaining loyal to Storm's End and the Baratheons.
At least that's my thoughts, it provides some interesting potential conflict, even within the house.

Ehhh, I'm okay with that if we can drop the rape aspect from it. Not really comfortable with that, to be honest.

I think we can change the rape to a simple affair/seduction. so the first son is a bastard It's still enough a no no to be a scandal.
So our house has two branches. I think it can work. But wouldn't the first son considered a bastard? I guess they would get legitimacy at some point.
Maybe a sigil could be something about Gemini or twins- trying to symbolize the harmony between the siblings. Or About how noble was the founding father to marry a disgraced woman. Just spitballing
And if the house is split into two branches, maybe there were an inner struggle during Robert's rebellion. It seems we have 5-6 players, so having factions within the house does add something
by the way, if someone want to play a noble of a completly diffrent house- hostages are a thing. Like Theon. or squires/ladies in waiting

So I am a little torn on what the name of the House could be, as the *true* founder of the family is of Targaryen blood, would our House name be something more Valyrian (ie. Baeranor, Caeneris, Taentheon), or more Westrosi in nature (ex. Barryn, Dane, Stout) However, I did come up with this as a Sigil, perhaps our ancestral home, in the manner of the Stark's WInterfell, is named Rivergard? Anyways, the sigil; I did the bottom portion green, to represent the coast, the blue as either sky, or the bay, the sigil itself a castle with two towers to represent the two lineages of our ancestors. As far as motto, I was thinking something along the lines of ... "We Stand," because it implies the phrase "United we stand," while also, perhaps darkly, the remainder of the phrase, "... divided we fall."
Thoughts?
Oh! And because I never explicitly stated it, I am perfectly fine with Daos playing the X card on the unpleasant portion of the scandal, and once played that issue won't be brought up again. Don't want anyone feeling uncomfortable with any themes or issues that we deal with, gaming should always be a safe place.

On the subject of rape, I feel the need to point out that the suggestion was that it was ostensibly rape. I.e. whether it's true or not, it's what the mother and her family claimed. This is a matter of huge importance because the entire reason for the Blackfyre Rebellions was the existence of multiple royal bastards who were perceived to have a better claim to the throne than the reigning branch of the Targaryens. If our founding lady had a willing tryst with one of the pretenders or Aegor Rivers (the main force behind the rebellions) then the very last thing she would want to do is admit that. The last thing the ruling Targaryens would want is another bastard with royal blood for their enemies to rally behind. Even if the father was "only" Aegor Rivers, he was public enemy number one throughout his lifetime and fathering a child with him would have been high treason. Claiming rape is pretty much the only way for our founding lady to have been allowed to carry the child to term and for her parents' house not to be stripped of all its lands and titles. Anything else is a one way trip to the headsman's axe or being disappeared into a dark cell to die of starvation or illness. Regarding our house, I'm not keen on an explicit split in our house. I've played in a couple of games where there was factionalism of that sort and none of them ended well. Conflicts about personal goals, policy, and methods by which our house can survive or raise its standing tend to provide plenty of ammunition for disagreement without setting up two separate branches. Going back to our founding, the Blackfyre Rebellions span a period of forty years, with the last one occurring just over sixty years ago (discounting the War of the Ninepenny Kings). The first and the third rebellions were the most dangerous. The second was stifled at the conspiracy stage. The fourth saw few Westerosi lords rallying to the Blackfyre banner. I would suggest that our founding lady had her tryst either with Daemon II Blackfyre, who was arrested when trying to kick off the second rebellion, or with Haegon I or Aegor Rivers after they landed in Westeros to start the third rebellion. This makes our house about 80-85 years old. Getting into the nitty gritty of the founding situation, I would suggest that our founding lady claimed rape by a member of the Blackfyre entourage, which will likely have featured a fair few members with Valyrian blood. Actually naming a pretender or Aegor Rivers as the father would have been far too dangerous, at least as long as Brynden Rivers was hand of the king (which he was during the second and third rebellions). Once the child was born, it would have been important to be able to explain away any obvious resemblance to the father. That means either our founding lady or founding father should have had noticeable amounts of Valyrian blood themselves. Alternately, the child would have to take very strongly after his/her mother and have only a slight resemblance to the father. Once our founding lady and the founding father were married, it would be easy for him to request that the child be legitimized and counted as his own, so I don't think we need to make a big deal of that part. I would prefer for the child to have been a daughter since that makes it far less dangerous for her to have been kept alive – no one would be about to try and set her up as a ruling queen. As a daughter, she also wouldn't inherit the lordship of the new house, and our founders would later have had a son of their own to carry on the line. Most importantly, a setup like this keeps the scandal where it belongs – well covered up – and diminishes the importance of the event with each generation. Regarding the name of our house, it should be Valyrian only if the founding father claimed such descent. Using the scandalous birth of a Targaryen bastard to lay claim to a Valyrian name is just asking for it. Regarding our coat of arms, I don't see a pressing need for there to be acknowledgement of both the founding lord and the founding lady unless she was of higher status than her new husband. It's likely that the coat of arms would be either something completely new or that is would be based on the founding father's own coat of arms with (maybe) a nod to his wife's heritage. If it's something new, then our founders would likely pick colours and devices that are supposed to project how they want to be seen, since the cirumstances of the house founding isn't something they want advertised. The SIFRP rulebook has rules for making coats of arms, including what various devices are supposed to represent. The motto, again, should only very tangentially touch upon the true circumstances of our founding. I think it should either project unity or a positive aspiration. If we do want to include some indication of the truth of our founding, it needs to be done quite subtly - couching it in humour can be useful. For instance, in one game I played in, our house was founded by the oldest surviving son of a famous hedge knight who had his sons fight on both sides of the first Blackfyre Rebellion. The idea was that at least some of them would therefore be on the winning side. One of the proposed mottoes we toyed with as "Blood and Steel", alluding both to the fact that the house was founded in war and the fact that they had played both sides, represented by Brynden Rivers (" Bloodraven") and Aegor Rivers ("Bitter steel"), to get there. We eventually picked another motto, but it was close.
