The party is escorted down the stairs into an immense chamber. A wide ledge runs along the left wall and drops away to a pit on the right. Many stalactites descend from the ceiling, and the sound of dripping water echoes continuously. The lower portion of the room to the south is 15 feet below the ledge. Wooden steps have been built down to the lower floor, and as it was with the drake nursery, the steps are enclosed in a stout iron cage with a gate at the bottom. Cyanwrath grabs a key from a peg opposite the top of the stairs, and then leads them down into the pit, unlocking the door and pushing them through. Benyt and Henry are unceremoniously tossed inside. He closes and locks the gate again once they are all through. The area is warm and humid. There are stains on the floor that look like blood, some of them fresh. A pair of two adult guard drakes emerge from behind the pillars. Cyanwrath barks some orders at them in draconic, and they sit and just watch the party closely. He then summons four kobolds to stand watch at the top of the stairs, and departs with his berserkers. There are two eggs visible in this room; both are at least three feet tall and maybe 150 pounds from the look of them. ========== (OOC: Everyone make a perception check and a nature check, if you please.)

Zakkoth follow along, at first with a grim expression. The omens were true. And his power. The power of his heart were nothing
How arrogant of him. But he didn't wanted to appear even weaker to his captures, so he wore a smile of confidence, and pushed forward with a raised head. ---

Eliana keeps an eye on the drakes that are keeping guard over them. She assumes that is what Cyanwrath told them to do rather than outright attacking them. For the moment, they were safe, but she really didn't know for how long. Though, honestly, she felt terrible. She didn't have a clue as to how to get out of this mess, and if they fought too much their life was forfeit. Not only that, but they really couldn't fight in their condition. They didn't have any weapons, she was out of spells, and two of their people were still out cold. With a sigh, she finally just finds a place to sit down. Everyone was so quiet right now, so she didn't even know what to say.

Zakkoth notices that there is a third egg, tucked into a pile of similar-colored stones behind one of the columns, making it easy to miss.
Eliana recognizes from her studies that all three eggs are, specifically, black dragon eggs.

Chantilly SweettoothHP: 20/27 - AC: 17 - Perception: 15 - Insight: 11 - Inspiration: No Chantilly feels a bit frustrated having to be locked inside a cage, and she's really disappointed in herself that she couldn't help her friends more. Eliana had seen the eggs when they were lead down into this room, but it took her until just now to realize what exactly they were. "The eggs in here are black dragon eggs," she says, finally breaking the silence. "And they are going to be hatching soon, if we take Mondath's words into account," she says. That wasn't good. They were in more danger than she thought they were in at first.

" Lady Eliana, did you understand what the blue jerk ordered to those drakes? I wouldn't want risking another bite from one of them..."

Caelin Valaerys, pariah of TakhisisARMOR CLASS: 16 | HIT POINTS: 24 | CURRENT: 1 | HIT DIE: 3d8 | CURRENT: 3d8 PASSIVE PERCEPTION: 15 | PASSIVE INSIGHT: 17 | INSPIRATION: 0 Caelin followed the group sullenly, captured, again. However, the exchange between Mondath and Eliana caused his head to jerk up, No, no, no, no ... if she knew her worth. Still, he had grown up in the crowded gutters of Palanthas, and was accustomed to making himself small, unobtrusive, cowed by his betters, even as he plotted their demise. He followed, silently, his eyes shifting side to side, looking for more traps in the halls, memorizing the layout of the caverns, so he could find his way out, in the dark if need be. When Cyanwrath grabbed the key, Caelin was curious if it would match the one to the drake pens further north from their current location, even as he contemplated the question, he realized it was pointless and benefited them none if it did. Caelin listened carefully to Cyanwrath's orders, the language of the dragonwrought warrior was known to him, and he wasn't ignorant of the orders being delivered. If they had, indeed, been ordered to guard them, then their best bet was to rest, gather their strength, if only for a short time, no disarmed, bound, and under watch, they would be hard pressed to do much more than escape with their lives, especially if Cyanwrath and his fearsome honor guard were still present in the cave system. "We need to rest," Caelin hissed, leaning back to back with Eliana. He brought his hands to her bindings, to see if he could loosen them, "Hang your head forward, pretend to sleep, I'll keep watch."OOC: Perception Check, MGTLQ6t81d20+5, and an associated Nature check, 1d20+0. Eliana was more concerned about the dragon eggs than she was the drakes. "Uh, Cyanwrath ordered the the drakes to attack us if we mess with the eggs or try to escape." Of course, she wasn't exactly sure how they were going to escape when they didn't have any weapons and spells at this point. "Caelin is right though. We need some rest. We can deal with this situation once we are less exhausted." She glances over her shoulder to Caelin, curious as to what he plans to do, but she follows his instructions. She pulls her knees up so she can rest her head on them and pretend to be asleep while he tries to untie her hands.

Zakkoth point. "There is a third one as well." He ponder. "But THAT might be a good omen." he dare to hope. Before looking into it, he will cast healing spells on Henry and Benyt. He try to force his old reptile brain to remember anything he could about taming dragons, especialy babies. If at all. How did they treat dragon babies? He wasn't directly involved... but... He also, try to use aura sense, to feel the emotional states of the dragons within the eggs. ---

Henry - HP: 28\28 - Conditions: None - Active Effects: None
---------------
Blissfully unaware of everything that has happened until now, Henry slowly awakes from the trashing-induced sleep he was in; the squire gives Zakkoth an awkward look, rubs his eyes and says "Guess we lost, uh?" then tries to sit up a couple of times before finally succeeding. Before saying anything else he seems to check if everyone's here, everyone's alive - then turns his gazes to the place they're locked in. In the end he ruefully asks "What happened? Why are we still alive?"

Resting on a mixture of rocks, dirt and blood wasn't the most comfortable experience but it had to do. " I think they're planning on feeding us to the baby dragons. Which I think... That can't be good for the babies. These people are irresponsible!" - she answers to Henry. " How is everyone feeling? Ready to search for a way out?" OOC Actions Are we tied up? Studying the kobolds, Chantilly notices they appear armed with both daggers and slings. However, they also have on belts that have a number of what appears to be alchemical flasks on them.
Caelin manages to undo Eliana's bindings, despite his own hands still being bound.
Using the last of his power, Zakkoth revives both Henry and Benyt. He then tries to remember what he can about training baby dragons; but the only thing he knows for sure is that it is not something that can be done quickly. To properly 'tame' a baby dragon would take months, if not years of time. As for the eggs, he senses no emotion from them yet, as they remain in a sort of sleep-like status while waiting hatching.
The party spends an hour just resting, trying to get their strength back.
==============
Caelin makes a sleight of hand check [DC 20] (1d20+4): 20+4 = 24, pass. Zakkoth spends 2 mystic points to cast Cure Wounds on Henry, restoring (1d8+2): 4+2 = 6 HP. He has 3 mystic points left. Zakkoth spends 2 mystic points to cast Cure Wounds on Benyt, restoring (1d8+2): 7+2 = 9 HP. He has 1 mystic point left.
The party takes a short rest: Zakkoth spends one HD to restore (1d8+1): 7+1 = 8 HP. He also regains his mystical surge. Chantilly spends one HD to restore (1d8+3): 5+3 = 8 HP. She is back to full health. Henry spends three HD to restore (3d10+6): 18+6 = 24 HP. He is back to full health. He also regains his channel divinity. Caelin spends three HD to restore (3d8+6): 13+6 = 19 HP.

Despite the fact that her hands were free, Eliana decided to sit still since Caelin was leaning his back up against hers. He needed the rest more than she did considering that he was hurt and she wasn't. Though, she was still exhausted after casting all of her spells. More than anything she wanted a nice warm bath and a warm bed so that she could sleep for a day. While the thought was nice, it wasn't going to happen anytime soon.
After about a hour, Eliana finally lifts her head, and turns around so she can unbind Caelin's hands. "I surrendered," she says to Henry once she hears her voice. "It was the only way to save everyone's life. As a result, we were bound and thrown down here. The drakes have been ordered to attack us if we try to escape or if we try to do anything with the three black dragon eggs down here." Once she is done unbinding Caelin's hand, she moves to help the others, as she doesn't see the point in hiding the fact that they managed to get free of their bindings. There was nothing that the group could do at the moment. "I think there might be some kobolds at the top too, watching us. Mondath and Cyanwrath will most likely be back sooner or later. I think they picked up on the fact that they can use me to control all of you, and they plan on ransoming me back to my family. Oh, and from what I could pick up before we were thrown down here is that those dragons are close to hatching."
