The party begins sneaking under the swarm of bats overhead. More than once someone makes a small noise--a creak in the armor, accidentally kicking a pebble, and everyone freezes and looks up. Some of the bats stir, but thankfully, they remain asleep. Eventually, the group makes it to the fungal garden. From there, it's fairly easy to reach the cavern entrance.
It appears to be raining again, and the hunters have retreated to their tents to remain dry.

Injured as he was, Caelin tightened the bandages holding his insides in, wincing against the pain, and prepared for a sprint, and then a long march back to Nighthill to report their failure.

Moving with as much haste as they can muster in their wounded state, the party dashes through the rain and out of the camp, making a beeline straight back toward Greenest, and from there, toward Solanthus to report to Leosin and Ontharr Frume.
