Unfortunately, the spell's complexity eludes Parra for now, and she is unable to copy it into her spellbook. The party tries to get some rest, which is difficult with the raging storm outside. Fortunately, the house itself seems quite stable. Eventually, the storm breaks and morning arrives. As the party packs up, Stevie approaches with some food. It appears to be dried balls of fruit. " Quith pa," she says. "My people use them as rations. It's only enough for all of you to reach the outpost, though. You'll need to secure your own rations from there." ============ It is now Sack 7th, Fourth Watch (10 AM). Casters may choose new spells for the day.

KaelestiaHp: 8/8 - AC: 5 " Oh! What scrumptious treats!" - Kaelestia says, as she nibbles on one that tastes like apricots. - " Thank you Stevie, you have been very hospitable host. Now I just hope our search will end in success." The priestess is then ready to depart, curious to explore the planet that had the same name as her Goddess. OOC Actions Spells prepared are the same as last time.

(preparing magic missils this time) Parra is frusrated, looking worse then usual. Only her respect to the stronger mage keep her in control. "Thank you." Her voice crack, sounding... hollow. Avoiding the prettier and stronger mage with shame.

The dwarf tries the "new" food and thanks Stevie for it. "Yes good stuff, do you know if there are things we can hunt and eat if we run low on rations Stevie?"

"There are," Stevie answers. "I've seen a number of animals so far on this world--stags, rabbits, boars, snakes, bears and wolves, among others."
"And Kitty!" Twill adds as he enters the room. He's all set up to go, with Kitty sticking his head out from the kender's backpack. Twill is also now carrying a massive great sword, far too big for him to wield or even carry properly (he's basically dragging it).

KaelestiaHp: 8/8 - AC: 5 Kaelestia glances at the kender, doubtful: " Would you even be able to fight with that thing? The last time you used a different weapon, why the change?"

"Yes, thank you," Sumina says dryly. She looks towards the kender and raises an eyebrow. She quickly checks to make sure she has her sword.

Sumina's sword is still in its sheath. It's obvious this is a different sword, though, because it appears to be much better quality.
"Oh, this?" Twill asks casually, straining under the weight of it. "It's not mine, it belongs to my good friend, Roaring Bear. See, we were on this adventure together, and we found this abandoned ankheg burrow. So he asked me to hold it for him while he went down to check it out."
"Err, Twill," Stevie says, looking concerned. "Wasn't that over a month ago?"
"Yep! And boy, won't he be glad when he sees what good care I've been taking of his sword when he gets back!" Twill says.

Parra check her own belongings and glare at the kender with her eye. "Take something of mine, and I'll take limb of your's" she threaten. And start to eat, looking 180 grumpier then yesterday, when she was excited about the magic she was going to learn.
She poner."May I borrow... books of history...?" She ask shaky with her forced manners.

KaelestiaHp: 8/8 - AC: 5 Kaelestia silently murmurs a prayer for the soul of poor Roaring Bear. Kenders were truly unscrupulous creatures. Noticing Parra's unusual mood, she puts an hand on her shoulder (an act that required a bit of awkward positioning due to the difference in height), and says to her: " Remember where we are going, a whole citidel build by a mage powerful enough to own such a mirror. I'm confident we'll find something that will pick your interest, maybe even his arcane spellbook."

"Are you sure you want to weigh yourself down with a bunch of books?" Stevie asks the minotaur.
"I should also caution you about handling any of the arcane materials in that citadel," she adds. "The wizard who once dwelt there was powerful and dangerous. He likely guarded his secrets carefully. Please exercise caution involving any of his belongings, especially his spellbook. There is no telling what sort of nasty surprises he may have left behind to guard them." 1d10·1d10·1d10·1d10·1d10·1d103Qvl9XdX

"Maybe you should let me try carrying that sword," Sumina says. She knows that she can at least use it.

"Welllll, okay, but if we run into Roaring Bear on the way, he'll probably want it back, just so you know," Twill says, handing her the blade. "Some people are really touchy about other people handling their stuff, for some reason."
=============
(OOC: Sumina can tell this two-handed sword is of fine quality, meaning it receives a non-magical +1 to hit.)

Sumina looks over the great sword carefully, and smiles slightly. "Right, right," she says absently to Twill. It wasn't as if she was keeping a promise of giving the sword up to Roaring Bear if they ever ran into him. It had been a month, from what she had heard, so it was a good chance they wouldn't run into him. If they did...well, there were ways to deal with the issue. "Well," she finally says, looking to the others. "Are we ready to go?"
