When the party steps through to the other side of the mirror, they find themselves in a house very similar to the one they just left. But instead of in the cellar, they are on the ground floor, in some kind of parlor. No light comes in through the windows, but they can hear howling winds, roaring thunder and a downright deluge of rain outside, as if they are in the middle of a tropical storm. The room they are in is well lit, however, with a magical globe of light on the ceiling. Kaelestia is the last to emerge, and once she does, a few seconds later the shimmering, rippling mirror dims and solidifies, becoming a regular mirror again. The mirror they stepped out of is identical to the one they stepped into, but the gargoyle is once again missing its horn. The cow Twill brought along moos in fear. A few moments later, as the party is regaining their bearings, a beautiful Qualinesti woman descends from upstairs, wearing silken white robes. She has long blonde hair and green eyes, and a number of tattoos resembling arcane symbols. She pauses at the bottom of the stairs, taking in the group and the cow especially, with surprise, before focusing her gaze on Twill, squinting and shaking her head. "Oops," Twill offers. "Twill, I have been worried sick! And who are...our guests? Hmm, a Dimernesti, a Silvanesti, a half-elf...a Neidar and...two Minotaur? An odd group, but you appear to be from Krynn?" she asks.

Arthogate clears his throat "Ah you must be the one Twil wanted us to meet? Not sure why he brought the cow along but perhaps there is a better place to house it aside from your parlor. My name is Arthogate though I don't mind if you just call me Art or as I think Twil called me Artie..."

Sha'al seems mezmerized at her voice for a moment, wondering idly what it would be like to hear her sing. Quickly but visibly he shakes it off. I'm Sha'al. We were helping the people of Nixx when we met up with Twill here. Some ogre had been stealing their livestock.

Sumina rolls her eyes as Art and Sha'al seem to fall all over themselves at the sight of who she assumes is Stevie. "The people of Nixx mentioned you...ot rather the old man mentioned you more times than I can count, and how you had disappeared."

"Well, these people helped me and Kitty out, so I thought you might want to meet them," Twill offers.
The woman sighs. "And in doing so, you may well have stranded them here, Twill."
Twill's lip quivers dramatically, as his eyes well up with tears. "But I...I just wanted...to be friendly, and...and," he begins, before rubbing at his eyes and sobbing much like he did when the party first met him. "Boohoo, boohoohoo!"
"Enough of that now," the woman says. "Look, we can discuss it later. Why don't you go get some tea for our guests? I have a pot on the stove."
"Okay!" Twill agrees, abruptly cheerful again. He pats the cow on the nose, then skips off to another room with Kitty under his arm.
The woman turns her attention back to the party. "Well met. I am Stefanellathalasa, or 'Stevie' to my friends, a Wizard of Solinari of the 1st Order." Parra would recognize that title--each faction of the Orders of High Sorcery have nine orders of ranks, with the 9th Order being the weakest--those who have just taken their Test, and the 1st Order being among the most powerful. "You say an ogre is harassing the good people of Nixx? This is troubling. I had feared that Evil may begin to encroach onto Nixx and the Tanglewood in my absence. Old man? Ah, you must be referring to Barnabas. I hope he is in good health."

Yeah, we took care of the ogre. As for Barney, he's good. But what was that about being stranded? How far adrift are we? Couple of days of sailing or... he leaves the sentence hanging for her to finish

"Aye it was Barnabas, yeah we went to help investigate some giant that was stealing their livestock and discovered it was the same ogre that stole Twil's cat."

"I am glad to hear the ogre is no longer an issue. As for being adrift...perhaps you should all sit down," Stevie says. There is a loveseat by the fireplace, and using magic, she drags the two chairs at the dinner table over to the loveseat, although this still isn't enough to seat the whole party. "Apologies, I am not set up for this many guests." Once the party has made themselves comfortable, if they so wish, she continues. "I suppose it's best to just rip this bandage right off then. Yes, I would say you are a bit off course...by about three hundred million miles. In fact, you are no longer on the world of Krynn at all. This is the planet known as Chislev." All of the party would be aware that the gods of Krynn are celestial in nature. Not just the three moons, which represent the gods of magic. But most deities, such as Paladine, Gilean and Takhisis, have constellations that represent them. However, there are four neutral gods that are represented by planets, not constellations, which appear as faint stars at times in the night sky of Krynn--Sirrion, Reorx, Chislev and Zivilyn.

Kaelestia
Hp: 8/8 - AC: 5 Up to that moment Kaelestia had been silent, listening interested to the exchange between 'Stevie', the kender and the rest of the group. However, the woman latest statement made the Irda's eyes widen in surprise. " We're on the planet of the Wild One, among the stars?" - she asked, more to make sure she understood the Qualinesti correctly. - " How... How's that possible?" - Kaelestia looked around across the room, ignoring the offer to sit down. The fireplace, the table, the stairs... It all looked the same to a normal house. Her gaze returned to the woman in front of her, maybe spending too much time with the kender drove her to madness. She did read that was one of the effects of those pesky creatures.

Sumina took a seat on the loveseat, and quietly listened to what the elven woman had to say. Upon hearing that they weren't even on Kyrnn anymore, she narrowed her eyes a bit. "Excuse me? Different planet?" She asked. "Why...how..." she wasn't even sure how to form the questions she wanted to ask.

"I'll do my best to explain," Stevie offers. At around this point, Twill returns carrying a tray with several teacups and a pot of tea. He starts pouring and handing out cups to anyone who wants one. The tea itself is sweet with a unique flavor and scent they have never encountered on Krynn before.
"About thirty winters ago, I acquired a device known as a mirror of portals. By using a crystal enchanted with a phase door spell, it is possible to use the mirror as a means to teleport virtually anywhere upon its native plane without limitation. The greater power of the mirror is that one may step through and emerge upon other worlds where similar mirrors are to be found, although doing so drains the crystal of its power.
"I first entered this world of Chislev through the mirror in the cellar of my home in the Tanglewood. I stepped out of this mirror here, which had lain undiscovered for many years in the abandoned keep of a dark sorcerer to the east. What I found after a time of exploring this new world--and it is this that I now warn you of--is that time works as a binding agent against intruders. The longer you remain on Chislev, the less likely it is that the mirror will be able to transport you back home.
"In my case, when I attempted to leave Chislev, I was thrown back. Since then, I have accepted the fact that here I am bound to remain. Thus, after I built this new home in these woods, I brought the mirror through which I entered this world. Twill, with his innocent but regretful actions, caused your arrival. Now I fear there may be no means for you to return home, for the crystal he used to get to the Tanglewood was the last I possessed, and I haven't the means to fashion another."
"I didn't mean to!" objects Twill. "I was just exploring your nice house, looking for ideas on what to get you for a gift, since you helped me when I fell out of that tree and hurt my legs. And I just found that horn lying around, where anyone could find it, in a locked case at the back of your closet after you forgot to close the chamber door securely. I thought, 'Wowee, this looks neat. I bet that gargoyle on the big mirror would like a horn like this, since he's missing one.' So I put the horn on the gargoyle and the mirror started to glow all magic like, and then Kitty ran through the mirror and vanished, so I went after him. So if anything, this is all Kitty's fault for being so irresponsible." He picks up the cat and wags his finger at it. "You really ought to be ashamed, Kitty! What do you have to say in your defense?"
"Mrow," Kitty responds.

"So the Kender didnt lead us to any sharks he lead us into uncharted waters....I rather face a shark. Or to be on a ship....This is what helping land folk gets us. "
*his voice trails off muttering about honor lost*

"So..." Sumina says. "We need to find another horn, or some other way to get home," she says.

Arthogate chuckles at Twil and the cat "Nah Twil didn't lead us here with any nefarious means, he was being polite and innocent. Just wanted us to meet you Stevie. So is it the horn or a crystal? I'm a bit confused as Twil is talking about a horn and you said something about a crystal."

Sha'al's mind reels with the information. On a star...? No, a.. planet. Standing on a navigational guide in an endless sea of sky... Latching onto the one thing he could really manage, Sha'al nods at Sumina's comment. So no delays or we run out of time. And only another crystal horn will send us back. So where do we find one?
He pauses and ponders a bit, Pity there isn't a ship to sail the endless sky back to home... we'd probably starve before we got there anyway.
