Twill leads the way, whistling a jaunty tune, toward the mountains to the south. It takes a couple of hours before they reach them, although they don't look like any mountains the party has ever seen on Krynn before. "There's a trail at the base that should take us right to the citadel," the kender tells them. "Or at least, that's what Stevie said." =============== It is currently High Watch (12 PM).

"What kind of mountains are these?" Sumina asks. "Are they...balancing stones at the top of them?"

"Do you know of any danger we may encounter here?" "No idea!" Twill announces happily. "Isn't that exciting? The complete unknown awaits us!" "What kind of mountains are these?" Sumina asks. "Are they...balancing stones at the top of them?" "Why, what do the mountains look like where you come from?" he asks.

"Wowee, I'd love to see something like that!" Twill says. The party reaches the base of the trail leading up the mountains, and begin to ascend. Sha'al continues pulling the hand cart behind him, along with Granker. Luckily the path isn't too steep, but it does take some effort to keep it from just rolling back down the mountain.
After about an hour of trekking, they can see the citadel now in the distance. They come to a more open area, which is more level, and also gives a breathtaking view of the ground below them.

Parra is mostly happy, so she give happy grunts, instead of swears. Though she throw dark glances at Twily. "Barnacles!" She swear with amaze "That.. quite the sight.'

Kaelestia
Hp: 8/8 - AC: 5 Kaelestia doesn't seem particularly fazed by the rocky formations, and she just follows the group without partecipating further to the conversation. OOC XKW2QrXs1d101d10

"I'm not really sure how to describe our mountains," Sumina says. "Sturdier maybe," she says.

Parra think. "Maybe we do have such mountains, but they are hidden under the sea."

Kaelestia lets out an involuntary yelp of surprise as something suddenly grabs one of her boots and quickly pulls her into a concealed hole in the ground. She only gets the briefest glimpse of what appears to be a massive spider that has grabbed hold of her before she is pulled in up to her waist, grabbing hold of the lip of the hole to avoid being pulled in altogether. She can feel the spider's mandibles chomping at her boot, trying to break through to the flesh within. Everyone just sort of stares dumbfounded in shock, save for Parra and Sha'al, who are quick enough to realize what is happening and try to act. ============= Surprise!Sha'al (1d10+2-5): 5, is not surprised. Granker (1d10-5): -3, is surprised! Sumina (1d10-5): -1, is surprised! Kaelestia (1d10-5): -3, is surprised! Parra (1d10-5): 4, is not surprised. Arthogate (1d10-5): -2, is surprised! Twill (1d10+2-5): 3, is surprised! Surprise Round!Spider attacks Kaelestia [TH 9] (1d20): 16, success. Kaelestia is grabbed and pulled half-way in! kjfQdgvo1d20(OOC: Only Sha'al and Parra can act this round. Everyone else is too shocked. Each square is 5' on the map.) 1d20

Parra swear. 'Chowder Lubber hairy octopus swindling swine!' the minotaur stomp. 'Stop gawking and get moving you rotten squid heads!' she bark at the others. She curse herself. The Read Magic spell was used well. Dozens of ideas ran in her mind. But the stronger ones were busy gawking, so she would again has to rely on her hand. Parra kneel down, and grab Kaelestia's right arm. 'Sha'al! take her other arm! We are pulling the lass!' she command.
