The two ropes will be long enough to reach, we just need to secure one side well and send someone first to secure the other side.
==== Are there two grappling hooks with the group or only one. Is there a good place to tie one end on the side the group is on without using a grapple on that side?

"Ooh, leave it to me!" Twill volunteers. "I'm the smallest, I can walk the trail easy. I'll take the rope and tie it off up there."
===========
(OOC: Looks like you only have the one grapple. There is a suitable boulder at the beginning of the trail you could wrap the rope around as an anchor point.)

Sha'al will tie off around the boulder as securely as he is able, leaving the grapple end for whomever goes. He ties the ends of the two separate ropes together with the best sailing knots he knows for that.
Holding the grapple end he looks to Twill, then the group to be sure majority agrees.

"Let him go," Sumina says. "He is the smallest out of all of us, so he shouldn't have too much of a problem. Plus, he is eager."

Twill easily climbs up the path, hook in hand, and then ties it off a column on the landing once he arrives. He then turns back and cups his hands over his mouth and yells, "OKAY, IT'S READY!" at the top of his lungs, his shrill voice echoing off the box canyon's walls.
============
(OOC: Assuming you are taking it slow and steady and holding on to the rope, no check is needed to walk the path now. Otherwise, you'll need to roll something, depending on what you're doing.)

Sha'al will go first, taking it slow and easy. He'll check to see if twill's tie is secure when he gets to the other side.

Kaelestia grabs her bedroll from the handcart and puts it back into her backpack. She and Sha'al then test the rope, finding it secure, and begin the journey toward the landing--slowly but surely. Sha'al glances back to the handcart. On the bright side, this planet is so sparely populated, the odds that anyone will come across it and steal it are quite low. It should hopefully be safe until he returns. After awhile, the pair join Twill on the landing, which juts out 20 feet from the cliff side. Four columns at its southern end support a stone roof. Two sets of stout, bronze doors can be seen to the north and west.

Sha'al checks that the rope tie is secure. ==== meant for the below to indicate he retrieved his pack and then extracted what he was using from it for the situation at hand. not that he was leaving it behind Sha'al retrieves his pack from the cart and fishes out his grappling hook and rope. === How long is the trail up?

Once the rope is in place, Sumina follows after Twill, Sha'al, and Kaelestia. Like everyone else, she takes it slow and steady.

Kaelestia
Hp: 8/8 - AC: 5 As Kaelestia waits for the others to arrive, she can't help study the two doors from afar, looking for runes which could have a similar intent to the ones she saw on Mei Ling's door.

Arthogate follows along... apparently off in his own thoughts. (apparently I need to check the forums more than just on the normal weekdays...sorry.)

Once most of the rest are across Sha'al nods for the minotaurs. Everyone be ready, in case there is trouble. Might be good for you two to cross one at a time. he suggests to Grank and Parra.
Looking at the columns he asks twill, See any hidden secrets on those? he asks, hoping to keep the Kender away from the doors a little longer
==== How far is the round tower portion from the columns? Any windows/ openings? Height of tower/ number of floors?

Sumina and Arthogate follow next, so now only the two minotaurs are left--who are also the biggest and heaviest of the party. Soon, the half-elf and dwarf join the others on the landing.
Kaelestia looks over the doors, but does not spot any visible runes on either of them.
"Ooh, secrets!" Twill remarks, moving over to the columns. After a few minutes, he waves them over. "Found something!" Leaning against the western-most column is a skeleton in chain mail--or the remnants of chain mail. A crossbow bolt is sticking out of the skull.
From what Sha'al can tell, the tower looks to be about 35-40 feet from the columns. The tower appears to be about 40 feet in height, so maybe four stories or so. There do appear to be a few windows on every floor except the top one.
