Sha'al hangs his head in full mental exhaustion. Zeboim truly was in one of her cruelest of moods this day... at least it hadn't been Kender. Tinkers... he mutters quietly to the group. Maybe if they waited it out the little nutjobs would blow themselves up or accidentally make a way off of the cliff... Gods he was almost desperate enough to try it.
==== If we had some rope, how high is the ledge if they decided to climb down the side of the cliff now that the trail is gone?
This may also be useful info if he has to throw himself off the cliff rather than spend too long with the tinker-gnomes don't want to limp away from that $#it...

Sumina wasn't sure which was worse, gnomes or kender. She says softly to the others. "If, and I stress the if part, thry get their boat working, they might be able to get us out of here."

Sha'al looks at Sumina as if she had just grown seven red eyes and an extra head. Yeah, and they might get us killed in a crash big enough to tear down a mountain or lost in the endless sky!
=== lol, for the record I think it's hilarious. And they seem to be a DM/Daos Ex Machina to get us home. Sha'al just thinks it's suicide

"Our options are slim," Sumina points out to Sha'al as she laughs lightly at his reaction. "Certain death if we try to go through the mountains ourselves or a possible death if we hitch a ride with the gnomes there."

Why would the mountains be certain death? I can probably climb over there, get the rope, climb back and then we can all get down this cliff... What do you guys think?
He asks the group for a vote

Sha'al looks to the others, who are currently pondering their vote--Granker, Parra, Kaelestia, Arthogate and...and...wait, wasn't there someone else? It's only now he notices that one of their number is missing. Looking around, he spots Twill climbing up onto the deck of the gnomish ship. "Hullo!" he calls out to the gnomes. "Ooowee, this is a nice ship you have here. What's it called?"
Most of the gnomes continue working, but one of them approaches the kender. He's an older gnome with nut-brown skin and a wispy white beard but completely bald head. He says, "ThisistheWindFliermymostmarvelousinventionwhichletsyouflywiththewindnaturallywecrashlandedourspelljammerhere-awhilebackandarentreallysurewherewearerightnowalthoughifyoucouldtelluswewouldbegrateful."
"What?" Twill asks. "Can you speak Common?"
The gnome huffs and says, "IamspeakingCommonisthatnotobvioushowdoyounotunderstandtheverylanguageyouarecurrentlyspeaking--"
"Wait, slow down!" Twill pleads.
"You. Don't. Have. To. Be. So. Rude. About. It," the gnome says with exaggerated slowness.

Sha'al rubs his temples in frustration. Maybe we'll get lucky and he'll fall over the side. he mutters aside to Sumina.
F$*# it, let's just do this. he mutters.
==== So if sha'al relented, Sumina is in and Twill is in we only need 1 more vote for majority, right?
Also, can anyone recall what all was left in the caet on the other side?

"We could try to the rope option, but I don't think I'll make it very far even with a rope," Sumina admits with a shrug. "And Twill has already made contact, so at this point, it doesn't matter." She puts her great sword away, and approaches the Twill and the gnome. "How long do you think it will take to repair your ship?" she asks.

Kaelestia
Hp: 7/8 - AC: 5 Kaelestia gently caresses Sha'al arm in a comforting manner: " Even if we faced many perils, we always managed to scrape through. I am confident this will turn out fine as well." - she then looks at the ship, before adding. - " If you do not feel sale traveling with the gnomes, we could ask if they let us disembark at the base at the mountain. This way we would not have to navigate with them for long."

He shakes his head, Walking into a dangerous situation when you can fight back is one thing... Trusting a tinker gnome device is more like... flip a coin: heads you live, tails you get splattered across a rock like a smashed grape. Once the device is up, i'm less worried about it until they try to land, whether it is nearby or far. No if you're going to ride an angry shark you might as well ride it all the way to where you're going.

The party all board the vessel warily as the gnomes continue to rush around, making repairs.
To answer Sumina's question, the gnome says, "Oh, we just landed for routine maintenance on the starboard wing but it should only take a minute before--" The gnome is interrupted when there's a sudden jostle and the entire ship begins moving again, lifting into the air. "Well, that's what happens when we speak so slowly," the gnome laments.
The party can see that a bicycle-like setup has been installed near the stern of the ship. Six gnomes, pedaling away, cause a complicated series of cables and pulleys to manipulate a pair of wing-like intrusions that emerge from either side of the ship, and begin an awkward flapping motion. "Impressed?" the gnome asks. "This efficient system, of my own design, allows us to fly as fast as the wind itself! Sadly, this ship's helm was destroyed in the crash so it will never sail the stars of wildspace again, but at least we can still get around the planet for now." There's a wood furnace amidships that feeds hot air into the silken balloon above, causing it to lift rather quickly until the Citadel looks as big as a child's toy.
The gnome continues, "We're heading west. Is there someone we can drop you off?"
"Oh, Stevie's place is west of here! Perfect!" Twill comments.
"Excellent," the gnome replies. "I've been eager to do a field test on our Emergency-Device-Used-To-Slow-Down-The-Motion-Of-An-Object-In-Freefall-Through-An-Atmosphere-By-Creating-Drag-Thanks-To-The-Immutable-Laws-Of-Aerodynamics Mark III."
"That's a terrible name," Twill remarks.
"Agreed. It's still stuck in committee, because it's believed it's far too short and concise to properly convey its wondrous applications and attributes," the gnome agrees.

Arthogate sighs relif that something else has Twil's attention and the fast talking gnomes are hilarious to watch Twil interact with. "You don't need to talk slowly to that one, talk normally and see if the kender can keep up." th dwarf says to the gnome Twil is talking to and chuckles hoping it will be entertaining.

What does it look like? Sha'al asks. (If it is a sheet-like object like a parachute) he'll say You should call it a suicide sheet. he offers, flatly

Sumina was too busy trying to figure out how this ship managed to fly through space because it didn't seem very space worthy. Not that she really understand the concept of space to begin with, but she was certainly expecting something a little more than what they had at the moment. "So, it looks like we are jumping off the ship in mid-air?" she asks.

"Sheet?" the gnome replies, a bit stunned. "A sheet! That's brilliant! That will increase survivability of the subject by at least 42.7%!" He pulls out a ledger and begins furiously scrawling notes upon it, as well as complex looking mathematical equations.
