I'm fine with the mule name and with going forward, I'm sure we'll get plenty of chances to chat during the long trip

Sorry, was just refreshing the inn character page and didn't come out and see all this going down. Lesson learnt.
If not too late, Robin would pitch in on the mulle too. And stow the torches and 5 days rations (each day moving from mule to self, or just taking from the mulle to save moving)

I'm a bit more inclined towards travelogue chitchat than bar chitchat myself.

Alright, Robin is no longer encumbered then.
I'll get to work on the next post.

My other Dragonlance character is somewhat angsty, usually angry, and can be difficult in social encounters.
It's nice to play a character who is polite, respectful, and doesn't hold a grudge.

Headcannon: If Dietrich survives this adventure, he eventually retires and is posted at Castle Eastwatch in Southern Ergoth. There, he meets a fellow knight, Dame Vaeleris, and the two eventually marry. They have a child who grows up and moves to Palanthas, then has a little boy of their own, who is put up for adoption at the local orphanage. That little boy's name? Caelin. It's all part of the ZCU (Zeroprime Cinematic Universe).

best we help him survive then. On a side point for in story (as I was unsure if this classes as in or out) would there be any large boulders or trees that we may use as a pulley point that more of us may stay out of the stream? Failing that, enough room for us to just create a line on a rope or two and pull? Then we can decide who takes a dip etc?

There is a tree near the shore of the stream, but unfortunately it's on the other side of the water.

How impressive is for a knight like Karl to have rode a dragon? Was this something usual during the war? O: just to see how to react to the story

Prior to the War of the Lance, dragons (of any kind) had been missing since the Third Dragon War, which ended in 1018 PC (that's Pre-Cataclysm, so about 1350 years prior). So there was some debate on whether dragons were even real or just a myth by that point. When the Chromatics showed up in the war, it really freaked people out (along with the return of divine magic, and of course, draconians; it was no wonder the Dragonarmies came really close to conquering all of Ansalon).
It was the return of the Metallics (along with the rediscovery of how to forge dragonlances, and the return of good and neutral clerics) that helped turn the tide and ultimately lead to the forces of Good triumphing. So it was a big part of the war, but dragons are still kind of new for most people, and they are still quite rare, so yeah, it's a pretty impressive feat.

Question, as Sir Gaardsen's squire during the war, would Dietrich know the silver dragon's name? I'm, 100%, positive that a young man would remember the name of the first dragon he ever met ... if only for anecdotal reasons. Thanks!
