"Chantilly, we will leave the search to you," Eliana whispers. "Someone should be keeping an eye our for anyone coming."

"Just be ready to eliminate that bird if it starts to make too much of a ruckus." Henry says quite coldly, then turns and answers to Eliana "I could stand watch, just remember that I won't lie."

"Wh-what?! But... I don't want to kill the birdy..." - Chantilly says, sombrely. - "Wait! I have an idea! Hey Z. why don't you put it to sleep?"

"I can keep watch," Eliana says to Henry. She could lie without worrying about honor and what not. She steps back into the common room, and kind of peeks out the door into the hallway to see if anyone is coming.

"I do not want to kill it either." Henry says but without showing any sign of relenting from his willingness to take out the raven if it comes to it - he draws his dagger, ready to throw it as soon as the bird caws a bit too much.

[Daos]

"If doing this, should hurry," Snapjaw warns the group who is just standing around.  "Night will be here soon.  And Borngrey will retire to room.  Should not linger here."

[HorizonsDream]

Eliana looks over her shoulder towards the others. "Hurry up," she says. "We are running out of time."

[Daos]

As the party stands around before the opened door to Borngrey's room, they begin to hear footsteps coming up the stairs.  Multiple ones.  It sounds like a group of people are on their way up.

[HorizonsDream]

Eliana lets out a sigh, now that footsteps are being heard, she shakes her head and just steps inside Borngrey's room to begin the search for the password. Yeah, the bird could be a problem, but at this point, they didn't have anymore time.

[Daos]

As soon as Eliana steps into the room, the raven begins squawking loudly and repeatedly, making enough racket to be heard from several rooms over.

"Someone kill it," Eliana says. She didn't have much time to worry about it as she quickly tries to search through this room (looking through desks, drawers, or whatever else is in the room).

Henry was ready to throw his knife at the bird as soon as it made a sound, so he does exactly that even though he grimaces at the thought of killing a harmless bird - but right now the sound it's making are a threat to the mission and he's gone too far to let a raven stop him.

Henry quickly threw the knife, somehow perfectly aiming through the narrow bars of the cage and impaling the hapless bird.  The cage fell over with a clatter from the impact.  But the damage has already been done.  The sound of footsteps, previously leisurely, quickened their pace up the stairs.

Eliana hurried over to the writing desk and started looking through it.  There was fresh paper and ink vials, and quills.  But no password or anything with writing on it at all.  All of the paper was blank.
