Henry moves quickly to retrieve the dagger and whsipers back to Eliana "Doesn't matter, we have to leave now." he says with urgency, ready to leave the room as soon as the others do so; he however gestures to Snapjaw, hopeful the lizardfolk could help them "Snapjaw, where we could go so the people coming won't see us?"

Snapjaw looks around quickly. There are no other rooms on the floor of this tower. "Only place to go is up, to third floor," he answers.

"Well, let's go there. Better that than having to talk our way out of this mess." Henry says, trying to keep his voice down. He then realized that finding the bird dead might prompt a search for the killers, so he just kicks the cage behind the first piece of furniture in the hope whoever is coming won't look too much inside the room. That done, he gestures towards the others to pressure them to leave the room as quickly as possible and just go up and hope for the best.

The party hurries back to the spiral staircase, and can hear the footsteps below coming closer. Instead of going down toward them, they head up, to the third floor. This takes them to the top of that particular tower, which appears to have been made into some kind of observatory. There are four windows, and next to one of them is some kind of telescope-like device, pointing out of the window.
However, there are no other doors or exits from this room.

It seemed like they were trapped up here for the moment, so Eliana goes to check out the telescope device.

Henry guards the stairs, trying to stay hidden from whoever would throw a look. He's quiet but a bit on edge, the idea of being trapped up there certainly not to his liking.

Henry crouches near the stairs, hand on his sword hilt just in case. Meanwhile, Eliana moves toward the telescope. It's a large, bulky and heavy looking device that is also somehow also rather delicate and fragile looking; it also looks rather complex and convoluted to use. It is not pointed skyward, but outward, toward somewhere in the swamp.
Meanwhile, the others spread out, examining the room. "There is nowhere else to go, except out the windows," Jamna whispers in concern.

"This thing is pointed towards the swamp," Eliana whispers. She cautiously try to look through it to see if she can see anything.

Peering through it, Eliana sees a distant cave--a large one. She spots a giant black dragon emerging from the cave, flying off somewhere south. But then a second, identical looking dragon pokes its head out to watch the other one leave.

Eliana's eyes widen before she takes a step back away from the telescope. She looks like she has seen a ghost with how pale she looks. "There are two black dragons here," she says softly.

Snapjaw seems puzzled by that remark. "Two? Only know of one, Black Death," he remarks.

"A mate, perhaps?" Eliana says. "One just flew off to the south, and the other is still in the cave."

"Two dragons instead of one," Jamna muses. "Not sure what that means, but I can guarantee it's a bad thing."
(OOC: Also, to clarify, when I said the other dragon was identical, I don't mean similar. They both looked exactly the same, like mirror images of each other.)
