"No salads here. Just chowder and seafood rolls," Kalinda says. "But if you are looking for something light, there is a lime and coconut chowder. It sounds strange, but it is pretty good," she explains. "Drinks, we have water, tea, coffee, and whiskey, rum, and ale. It depends on what you are in the mood for, but after the day we had, I would get whiskey," she admits with a shrug. "You know, Salt Whale has a beach. It doesn't have the view of the Serene Ocean like on the Azure Coast, but it has a nice view of Quilsha Sound."

Poppy chuckles: "You're right but whiskey is a bit strong for me. I'll settle for a shot of rum." - she says as she nods to the drow: "Yup, I'm planning on visiting the beach one of these days. Hoping that there aren't any other problems, that's it... So, what made you leave Basalt?"

Kalinda orders a shot of whiskey and the lobster roll, before she jumps into why she left Basalt. "I owned a small restaurant there, but I wasn't making enough money," she explains. "I guess I don't have the head needed for running a business, so after I went out of business, I used what money I had left to move here, looking for a new start." She shrugs a little bit, and let's out a sigh. "I assume the both of you came here searching for that dwarf though."

Selene collects their menus and their orders, then heads off to the kitchen.

She didn't really know if she could trust those two yet, so she preferred not to disclose her personal involvement with the dwarf. - "Personally, I just wanted somewhere where I could have a fresh start. I grew up with an old eccentric druid, so I really wanted to meet new faces and see new places y'know."

She's the kind of druid that has flowers on her head and speaks with the squirrels that lives in her hair y'know. Or something like that." - she says, chuckling. - "I hope to see her again one day, but right now I was yearning for something more, y'know?"

At this point, Selene returns with their orders. She places their food and or drink before each of them, before saying, "Let me know if you need anything else."

"Thanks Selene," Kalinda says. She immediately downs the whiskey she ordered before she starts in on her lobster roll. "Speaks to the squirrels in her hair...got it," she says with a chuckle. "Did you just say you speak with squirrels?" she asks April curiously.

Poppy also immediately downs her drink, before winking at Kalinda: "Must be nice having your boss serve you, for once." - she says with a smirk. - "How is it working here?"
She also awaits April's answer with interest.

Kalinda smiles slightly at the comment about Selene. "Working here isn't too bad," she admits. "I enjoy cooking, and Selene does provide me with a place to stay too. I'm grateful to her."

"Maybe," Kalinda says. "I don't have the money to even think about opening another restaurant right now," she admits with a shrug. "But with us working for the supervisor now, it is possible I might get the money."
