April opens her mouth to answer, but finds that Kalinda and Poppy have already started talking about something else. "...squirrels listen," she eventually says quietly. Unlike you two, she thinks.

Poppy nods at Kalinda. Opening a restaraunt was a nice dream, and Poppy wondered how close she was at realizing her own, as she turned around the glass in her hand. - Probably not much. - she thinks, before her attention is caught by April whispering something. - "Oh, yeah! What about you? What will you do once you're done with this dwarf business?"

Poppy nods and finishes her drink. - "I suppose it could be nice, even if it's not the most exciting life." - she stretches on her seat before standing up. - "Well, I'd better be on my way. I have some things I want to do in the morning. See you soon, then." - the girl says, before going to pay for her drink.

"I can't stand it when things change, you see," April says, suddenly realizing that her food arrived quite a while ago and starting to eat. "Uncertainty makes me anxious. I'm happy to live a simple life."

"Can you even really prepare for change though?" Kalinda asks curiously. "Change can't be avoided, and no matter how much you prepare, you still will never be fully prepared."

Poppy pays for her drink, before going back to the others. She only hears Kalinda's last sentence and says: "Well, thank Elonna for that! Can you imagine how boring life would be otherwise?"

When Poppy comes up to pay, Selene waves her off. "No, no, consider this one on the house. But do tell the Supervisor about this place and how great the food is here, won't you?"

Kalinda tries not to laugh because she isn't sure if April is being serious or not. "Well, I have other stuff to do, so it was nice talking to you both," she says as she stands up. "Selene, does that mean I don't have to pay too?" she asks.

Kalinda can tell the question itself pains Selene, but she manages to restrain herself and says, "Just...make sure and spread the word among the highborn, okay?"
