Kalinda "The lyrics don't matter," the half-orc answers. "They're open to interpretation anyway. What matters is how the music makes you feel."
April "I'm afraid I don't know anyone of that description," the guard says. "But I can spread the word to the other guards, and hopefully one of them will know something, or maybe spot the perpetrator."

"I haven't quite pinned down how it made me feel," Kalinda admits. "How does it make you feel?"

The half-orc looks a bit disappointed in that answer. "The point of music, of all art, is to create an emotional reaction in the audience. If you didn't feel anything, I guess the song still needs work then."

"Well, understanding the lyrics goes a long way in creating that emotional reaction you are looking for," Kalinda says.

"That would be very helpful. Thanks," April says.

Kalinda "Lyrics are open to interpretation," the half-orc repeats. He sighs and adds, "Some people just don't get it." He packs up his things.
April The guard nods and takes flight, to spread the word. Now that the docks and all of the gates will be watched, it seems the suspect will be boxed in. Now April just needs to find him.

"Understanding the lyrics and interpretation of those lyrics are completely different things," Kalinda says. "So, if you sang "as an old memory" then that has a different meaning to me, and "as an old enemy" has a different meaning. " she explains. "I could give you a whole range of emotions depending on the lyrics," she explains.

April decides to seek her quarry back at the market, at the Sailor's Way. Perhaps the Dwarf had purchased supplies, there.

Kalinda The half-orc shakes his head. "You're so caught up on the lyrics. The lyrics don't mean anything. What about the actual music? The passion and heart put into it? The emotional resonance? I'm singing from my soul, not filing a report."
April April enters the shop, and a little bell rings when she does so, having been attached to the door so it rings whenever it is opened. She finds herself inside a standard general store, selling all sorts of things including coils of rope, dry rations and waterskins, empty sacks and barrels, various tools and kits, and other assorted items. A male drow steps out from the back and approaches. He has red hair, slicked back and hazel eyes that seem a bit beady. "Ah, welcome, welcome," he begins. "How can I help you this fine summer day? Are you looking for something in particular?" he asks, clasping his hands.

“Yes, a bald, red-bearded Dwarf with a tattoo of a poison oak leaf,” April answers.

"I'm not a musician, so what do I know," Kalinda finally says. "But, concentrating on the music alone, then there was some anger and sadness," she says.

"Well, actually I-" - Poppy was about to answer, when she heard the bell ring. It was that strange woman, again. Oh dear. - she thought. - "-I'll just take a look around, thanks!" - she says, quickly moving around the shop, out of sight of the woman in armor and the drow.
As they were busy talking, she went and take a look at the back of the shop where the man came from, trying not to be seen by the other two. 1d20UgRBbXRn

April The drow looks a bit taken aback by April's request, and more than a little confused. "I...don't believe we have that in stock."
Kalinda "Then if not music, what is your art?" the half-orc asks her.
Poppy (OOC: Go ahead and make a stealth check.)

"I don't really..." Kalinda pauses for a moment. "Well, maybe it can be considered an art?" she asks mostly to herself. "It is kind of hard to describe, but maybe I can show you?" she suggests. She glances around, and while there was a crowd, for the moment it wasn't too crowded around the half-orc. She takes up one of her fighting stances, and goes through a few of her moves with kicks and punches. When she isn't trying to hurt someone with this skill, it could be considered a graceful art form.

"He's a criminal, on the run from justice. Has he bought supplies from you?" April demands.
