Kalinda The half-orc watches and then ponders a bit, before saying, "I suppose the movements of the mortal body can be considered a form of art. Have you ever considered taking up dancing? You'd be a natural with moves like those."
April The drow considers the question carefully. "Perhaps. I have many people come through here every day. What crime is this dwarf allegedly accused of?" he asks.

"Manslaughter. He killed a Druid after a robbery attempt went wrong," April answers.

"It really hadn't crossed my mind," Kalinda admits. "I'm mostly focused on making a living, so I guess I don't really have a lot of time for any kind of art."

Poppy The knight and the shopkeep are distracted by their conversation, and neither seems to notice as Poppy slips into the backroom. It's full of crates, barrels and sacks of various goods, seemingly stored in a certain order. There's also a couple of locked chests, both with ledgers on top of them. She also notes a staircase in the back that seems to lead up to the second floor.
April "Killed a druid?" the drow repeats, going a bit pale. "Uh...I see. Yes, I did see him. Or someone similar, anyway. He was here last night, just before closing. Bought up some traveling supplies."
Kalinda The half-orc shrugs. "Well, let me know if you ever change your mind. I could always use some back-up dancers once I make it big."

"So he was planning on leaving the city," April remarks. "Thank you for your help." She quickly leaves the store and spends some time assessing where to go, next.

Poppy gives a quick browse to the books (OOC: literally, just a look through the pages in a few seconds just to see if they're pertaining the activies of the shop or if they're about something else), before hearing the bell and the door closing, and no more sounds of voices. Thinking that the knight left, she went back to the shop, searching for the clerk.

Kalinda absently wonders if people can dance to the music he was playing, but she decides not to ask about it. "What was your name?" she asks.

April April steps outside and ponders her next move a moment.
"Excuse me? Hey! You there! Stop! I said stop!"
April looks up and sees a wild elf woman hurrying toward her. At first, it seems she is addressing April, but then the knight realizes she is chasing after someone else. A lithe figure wearing a heavy grey cloak with the hood up, obscuring any features. The figure is walking in April's direction.
The wild elf catches up to her and grabs her arm, pulling her back. "Hey, stop I said! Where do you think you're going?"
The cloaked figure looks back at her in surprise and tries to wretch her arm away. In a feminine voice, barely audible, she says, "What?"
"You have to pay for that food, you know!" the wild elf tells her.
"P-Pay? It's just food..."
"Are you some kind of thief?" the wild elf demands.
The cloaked figure looks around in a panic, as if seeking an escape. April notices a puddle of water nearby that starts to ripple for seemingly no reason.
Poppy Poppy flips through one of the ledgers quickly. From what little she sees, they seem to be itemized lists of everything bought and sold from the shop. It looks like the place isn't doing too well. The profit margins are razor thin. She does notice one bit at the end--some kind of mystery package that the writer seems to think will provide a massive payday, but it's not clear what it is.
When the knight leaves, the shopkeep mutters, "Didn't even buy anything." Then he turns around to find Poppy, and spots her just after she slides back into the room. "Ah, there you are. Anyway, what was it you said you were looking for, miss?" he asks.
Kalinda "Name's Gurt," the half-orc answers. "Don't have a band yet, it's just me, but I plan to expand and hopefully become big in Si'ahl."

Thinking quickly, April immediately moves to tackle the woman before she can do whatever magic thing she's planning with the puddle.

Poppy smiles at the clerk before speaking: "I was searching for something to add to my performances, a deck of cards to do some tricks would do... And then, I don't know, I still have some money left from my last show and if you had something interesting in store I'm always in the mood for a bit of extra shopping." - she says while giggling.

April In a flash, April leaps full body at the cloaked woman, tackling her to the ground. The wood elf cries out in surprise, and the cloaked woman immediately starts to thrash in panic. "Get off me, get off me!" The puddle begins to splash wildly, as if some invisible creature were jumping up and down in it. Further, the sky above darkens as a grey rain cloud starts to form directly above the scuffle.
Poppy "A deck of cards? Yes, I believe I have a set in the back," the drow tells her. "I'll accept five blue shards, or an equivalent in trade." He adds, "As for 'interesting' well, I suppose it depends. What manner of show is this?"

"Only if you explain the situation, such as why you don't know that food is typically bought in this country, and why water seems to be commanded by your emotions!" April demands.

"Get off me...I don't like...being touched," the cloaked woman hisses through clenched teeth as she trashes about. There is a peal of thunder up above. The grey cloud has doubled in size and turned nearly black. Electricity begins to cackle around it. April feels the hairs on her body stand up on end, and gets a strange, tingling sensation throughout her body.

April sighs, recognizing the gravity of the situation. “Fine,” she says, getting off the woman. “But please answer my questions.”
