Don't worry Dallion, hope you're doing better now.
Ditto on the pearls
Edit: I just noticed that Daos wrote "End of chapter 1" and we didn't get the exp for 'Completion of adventure' we got the other times..? O:

Okay, so the pearls are worth 100 GP each, so you get 90 GP each from them. Combine that with the 45 steel already found, and divided up between the five of you, everyone gets 45 steel. There's still the matter of the water breathing potion, however. Who wants to claim that?
As for votes, we have 3 to continue and 1 abstained. So it seems as if we are continuing. However, we have 1 vote for the first adventure and 1 vote for the second, and two abstained votes, making it a tie so far.
As for 'completion of adventure' XP, I guess I forgot about that. Sorry, I've had a lot on my mind lately. I'll do some quick math here...
Okay, I'll add 400 XP to everyone's totals directly in the Character Stats thread while I update the distributed coin.
Let me know if you want to do any shopping between adventures. Remember that in addition to standard equipment found in the PHB, I also have 'fine' and 'masterwork' stuff available. Basically a 'fine' weapon costs 100 STL in addition to its normal price and it bestows a +1 nonmagical bonus to either hit or damage, your choice.
A 'masterwork' weapon costs 300 STL in addition to its normal price and bestows a +1 nonmagical bonus to both hit and damage.
Masterwork armor also costs an extra 300 STL but offers a -1 nonmagical bonus to AC. Same with shields.

I'm good with the second adventure too. That's fine. As for the potions, maybe the people who can't swim should hold onto those for now.

Okay, I'll give the potion to Kaelestia then.
And yes, Igor, you can rejoin. Did you want to resume with Parra?

Alright. I'll start work on the second one then.
In the interim, how is everyone feeling about their characters, mechanically speaking? I was working on some potential tweaks to certain races and classes, and wanted to get some feedback first.

Well, so far I've been using Tales of the Lance rules for the races/classes straight up, but I was thinking of making some tweaks since I find the rules to be a bit weak or bland in some places.
I don't normally change the rules in the middle of the game, though, so I won't force any changes on anyone without their permission.
But as an example, the Dimernesti. In TotL they have their own Ability Score Requirements, waterbreathing and the ability to shapechange into sea otters three times a day. But aside from that, they are mechanically identical to high elves. Like, why would they get a +1 to bows and swords when neither of those weapons even work underwater? So it might be worthwhile to swap that out with something else. Maybe swap out infravision with sonar or something. Basically find ways to make him feel a bit more distinctive, mechanically.

Sure, go ahead. What were you thinking? Personally, I'm loving Kaelestia. Mechanically I think she's fine, especially now that I have Krenari, she scratches (heh) my itch of not really contributing much in terms of dealing damage. There is one house-rule I wanted to ask for, but anxiety got in the way and I never spoke up in the end.

Surface elves use bows and swords so much it is part of them, their lives, etc. Sea elves however i would think tridents, spears and maybe javelins/nets (for a ranged component) would feel more appropriate. In the complete book of elves i think the aquatic races get a much wider 'infravision' style comparison like sonar (something like 400 ft) but it doesn't work above water. That said, Sha'al has already used his infravision quite a bit during the adventures. He hasn't really used the sword/bow thing.

For Kaelestia, I was wondering if it's worthwhile to just change the Priest of Chislev class to the Druid class. The two are almost identical (same ability requirements, alignment restrictions, weapon and armor restrictions), but the differences is that the Priest of Chislev class has a few extra spell spheres (Charm, Combat, Guardian and Sun) while the Druid has a lot of extra class features (+2 saves against fire/lightning, identify plants/animals/pure water, pass through underbrush without trail or speed reduction, a bunch of extra languages, charm immunity, and shapechanging. So it boils down to whether you think the extra spells are more valuable or all of the class features. I remember bringing up that very thing during character creation. Yeah, Tales of the Lance and Complete Book of Elves have pretty different takes. ToTL gives sea elves +1 DEX/-1 STR, shapechange (3/day) into a specific creature, and they drop to 10th level if out of the water if higher than that. But otherwise they're identical to normal high elves. CBoE instead gives them +1 DEX/-1 INT, swap 60' infravision with 360' sonar, being out of water incurs a -1 penalty every 2 days to their STR, DEX and CON (with death occurring if any of them hit 0), and completely strips them of their +1 hit with swords/bows. It might be possible to mix and match, and overall tweak the two, to create something new. I could also look at the 3E version for inspiration, as well. If that alright with you. I like this character. if not, I understand. And ... if you do allow me in with Parra, where.. was she and what would she know IC? Yes, that's fine. Parra has been on the ship this whole time. I assume she'd know everything that happened, unless the others deliberately chose to withhold that information for some reason. I'm assuming they tell the entire crew about their misadventure, though.

I'm good with keeping things basically as they are for Sha'al, but maybe swapping the +1bows and swords for the trident/spears/net combo if that works for you
